gen 3 says God will wait 120 years before destroying the world. 6:10 lists Noah's three sons as having been born. 11:10 says that Shem was 97 when he got on the boat. 6:22 has Noah building the Ark, and 7:1 has Noah getting on the Ark. The building could be anywhere between a few months to 97 years. I was just going by standard boat building techniques, which fit the scenario perfectly. Hi Douglas, The building was at least a century plus according to Dr. John Whitcomb in "The Genesis Flood". My take is that the "miracle" is the testimony of faith offered by Noah as recorded in Heb. 11:7: "By faith Noah, being warned of God of things not seen as yet, moved with fear, prepared an ark to the saving of his house; by the which he condemned the world, and became heir of the righteousness which is by faith."
