1 | Did Eve hope she would be Jesus mother ? | Gen 4:1 | KumKum | 160546
I sometimes listen to preachers preaching from the bible and i have more than once heard them say that ever since Adam and Eve, the People have been waiting for a savior or a messiah. And that Eve was hoping to have that son who was supposed to be that savior. Where in the bible does it say that ? All i can find is that she was happy that she had a son and that it was with the lords help. |

2 | Did Eve hope she would be Jesus mother ? | Gen 4:1 | ebrain | 160549
I have been told that the words 'with the help of' are not found in the original Hebrew, and that it should read 'I have gotten a man child, the LORD'. In other words she thought that she had given birth to the Messiah, however I am not sure that this is in fact the correct interpritation. I shall be glad to hear what others have to say on this matter. Every blesing. ebrain. |

3 | Did Eve hope she would be Jesus mother ? | Gen 4:1 | mark d seyler | 160552
Hi ebrain, According to www.blueletterbible.org, there is a preposition between man and Lord, namely "eth", from. The Septuagint picks this up as well. So I would say that Eve was not in fact saying that the Lord had been born to her. Love in Christ, Mark |
