1 | why lead us to stumble? | Gen 3:3 | imforgiven | 112060
Thank you so much for sharing from your heart and your walk, for helping me. Freedom is something I stopped questioning for years, yet here I am again. Our freedom in the U.S. is so overblown - our waywardness breaks my heart, how much more His? I rejoice that my sinful past is redeemed, that now I can help others in the path of the same sin. But why must they be tempted, why must the sin exist, why must the need for my ministry exist? It's madness. The tree seems to have been designed to cause us to stumble. Why would God do what we're warned not to (1 Cor 10:32)?
2 | why lead us to stumble? | Gen 3:3 | kalos | 112064
imforgiven: You ask: "But why must they be tempted, why must the sin exist, why must the need for my ministry exist? It's madness. The tree seems to have been designed to cause us to stumble. Why would God do what we're warned not to (1 Cor 10:32)?" My reply: James 1:13 (ESV) Let no one say when he is tempted, "I am being tempted by God," for God cannot be tempted with evil, and he himself tempts no one. --kalos |

Ahh, yes - thank God that this verse came to mind. I'm encouraged. This is my first time on this site - very much a place for growth!
