You are probably thinking of 1 Timothy 2:14 in which Paul states, "Adam was not deceived, but the woman being deceived was in the transgression." This does not mean that the woman was solely to blame. She was, after all, deceived. Adam, on the other hand, knew the truth, and yet sinned. Regardless, Adam's sin was imputed to all of us (Romans 5:12). Therefore, we all share the blame. | ||||||

Good post... in a way, Adam was more responsible because he wasn't deceived (as Eve was). Like you said, the result is that we "all" inherited sin. Ro 5:12 | ||||||

Yes, I agree. The language of the fall indicates that Adam was standing there during the entire discourse with the serpent. I know from my own fallen nature that it is easier, as a man, to follow in sin than to lead in godliness. More's the pity. It is difficult to know what exactly was going through our Parents' minds. Nevertheless, I am certain that in his place, I would have probably done more poorly than Father Adam. | ||||||
