Bible Question: Why is Eve always blamed for the fall of Man. Why is not Adam just as responisible for it in the eyes of man |
Bible Answer: You are probably thinking of 1 Timothy 2:14 in which Paul states, "Adam was not deceived, but the woman being deceived was in the transgression." This does not mean that the woman was solely to blame. She was, after all, deceived. Adam, on the other hand, knew the truth, and yet sinned. Regardless, Adam's sin was imputed to all of us (Romans 5:12). Therefore, we all share the blame. |
