1 | The Day of Eve's Creation | Gen 2:22 | Lionstrong | 23054
I'm not posting this as a questions, because I think there are no answers to these questions. Just something to think about. ...... Although the human race was created on the sixth day in the person of Adam, the female of our race was formed (could be translated “built”) some time after the sixth day. God rested on the seventh day, then(?) planted a garden and placed the man in it; had a trinitarian conference on the problem of Adam’s loneliness; brought three classes of animals to him (all of each class(?), some of each class(?)). All that he brought Adam named. Then God anesthetized Adam and surgically removed a rib, from which he “fashioned” (good word applied to a woman!) a woman. ......... Peace, Lionstrong, a.k.a. 2 | The Day of Eve's Creation | Gen 2:22 | kalos | 23103
Dear Loosey: The Bible plainly states in Genesis 2:2 "And on the seventh day God *ended* His work which He had done" (emphasis added). In context it reads: Genesis 1:31-2:2 Then God saw everything that He had made, and indeed it was very good. So the evening and the morning were the sixth day. Thus the heavens and the earth, and all the host of them, were finished. And on the seventh day God ended His work which He had done, and He rested on the seventh day from all His work which He had done. Then God blessed the seventh day and sanctified it, because in it He rested from all His work which God had created and made. (NKJV) |
