1 | Are we the only ones God made? | Gen 1:27 | chynna | 37980
Over ten years ago I saw a UFO. The whole event lasted maybe 5 minutes. I wasn't the only one who saw it. A major in the airforce saw it and it was written up in the paper. I've worked for the military for close to 20 years and I am very familiar with many of our defence systems as well as our capability in terms of aircraft. I feel very sure that what I saw wasn't part of mankind as we know it. How do I take this event and fit it into my belief of God and Christ? It's always bothered me.

Chynna The Bible does not address life on other planets. So to give a definite answer would be wrong. I see UFO's as one of three possibilities. First they could be optical phenomena that occur in nature. Second they could be highly secret military experiments . Thirdly they could be spiritual illusions from Satan to cause fear, doubt, disunity, distrust and make us question the Bible. Notice I did not include outer space aliens as a possibility. The reason, I would think if they could and do visit, they would be tempted to be involved in life on earth. However since the Bible does not address life on other planets and since the bible does say at in the end times there will heavenly happenings (Luke 21:11 and there will be great earthquakes, and in various places plagues and famines; and there will be terrors and great signs from heaven. ) I suspect UFO’s are illusions created by Satan. 3 | Are we the only ones God made? | Gen 1:27 | Makarios | 37991
Hello again, EdB! I agree, the Bible does not expound upon every single subject like UFO's and their possibility.. But one thing that I have come to realize in my spiritual walk is that if the Bible doesn't say anything about a particular subject, then perhaps I shouldn't spend a whole lot of time on that subject.. :-) I agree, we couldn't give a definite answer either way, since only God knows all ends! But if we discover other lifeforms either today or tomorrow, then that is for the Lord to decide, and He told us not to worry about tomorrow. I've got a "bad" feeling about this, but I think that a giant iceberg just "winked" at me.. :-) (just kidding!) Keep up the good work! - Makarios |

Makarios Right you are! This is just idle speculation and I was idle so I did. Your also right it probably is an iceberg and probably best avoided. EdB |
