2 | CLARIFICATION of Gen. 1:26 | Gen 1:26 | Hank | 137143
Tamed - Genesis 1:26 is the first clear indication in the Bible of the triunity of God -- God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. (See also Gen. 3:22 and 11:7). The very name of God (Gen. 1:1) is Elohim in the Hebrew, a plural form of El. The distinctive and essential Christian doctrine of the trinity is not polytheistic, as detractors maintain, but wholly monotheistic -- one God in three Persons. The Amplified Bible (q.v.) gives an excellent rendition of Gen. 1:26 --Hank

Hank, thanks for restricting the thread that contained this awful comment from BradK "If these are indeed your "only true and honest observations", you need to be a bit more observant!" - BradK I know you have a lot on your plate... may I remind you (in case you may have overlooked it) that BradK needs to be removed from this forum in harmony with the rules of this Lockman Foundation forum. Thank you Hank for carrying out your duties in a fair manner. |
