2 | Man is considered to be what to God? | Gen 1:26 | Rowdy | 108536
I don't think it's clearly stated in specific terms in the Bible, but in my opinion, we (all of mankind) are the creation and God is the creator. Just like when a young lad puts a model plane together and paints it up real fine like I used to try to do many years ago, that person wants his creation to be a reflection of the creator. He might even put his best work, his masterpiece on the shelf or hang from his bedroom ceiling. I like to think that we're all masterpieces for God and he's anxiously waiting for the day when we decide to accept his leadership and finally come to His home in heaven. Now in supplement to all that, we are weak and sinful. We are physical whereas God is Spirit. Our minds are finite and His is infinite. His thoughts and actions are far more advanced compared to us than even the contrast between us and the insects of the world. We don't have a clue what real Godliness or love is all about but I'm looking forward to finding out. How about you? What is your opinion? |

3 | Man is considered to be what to God? | Gen 1:26 | Chochma | 108540
Man is the physical manifestation of Divine Mind speaking the words of creativity.."I Am".God spoke and therefore we are. God is only God if there is a point of reference from which to experience the Self. Before there was time, creation or anything there was God, the All. Yet how could All experience that it was all unless there be something that be not all. This as Ernst Holmes says is "the thing itself". Man is that "be not all" while at the same time containing the expression and Divine Right of All. In deed if we live and move and have our being in Spirit than Spirit must be this All. |

What Scripture proves "Man is the physical manifestation of Divine Mind speaking the words of creativity" ... Genesis 1:26 says "Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness" ... nothing about the mind. Then in 3:5, 22 I read about knowing.

Hi, Searcher56! In the Old Testament Yahweh called us "gods"--this did not make us His equal; it is only His expression demonstrating what our goal should be: to be holy as God is Holy! Christ said it differently; "be one as I and the Father are One..." Jesus calls us to be one with Him (I am the vine you are the branches; if you abide in me...)--never did Jesus say you are equal to God or will become God's equal! Paul, through the revelation of the Holy Spirit, tells us this: ...But we are those who have the mind of Christ. (1 Corinthians 2:16--unabridged: 1 Corinthians 2:6-16). God Bless! |
