WHAT ARE SOME VIEWS ON THE AUTHORITY OF MAN AS GIVEN BY GOD WHEN HE PUT ADAM IN DOMINION?
2 | MAN IN DOMINION AGAIN THRU JESUS CHRIST | Gen 1:26 | gracefull | 81127
To me scripture indicates that God chose to delegate authority to Adam over the 'whole earth' and stated the conditions...do not eat...if you do you will die. Adam ate and died spiritually, thus coming into bondage to 'the fear of death'. Hebrews 2:14-15 Thus the conditions of the first covenant with man was broken producing the curse. Hebrews teaches us that the second Adam (Jesus Christ) fulfilled the conditions of the New covenant thus making it available to whosoever will accept Him. Hebrews 8:10 It is the responsibility of each believer to seek to know the conditions of the New Covenant through the guidance of the Holy Spirit Romans 8:28-29 It is God's predetermined will that we be transformed into the image of Jesus Christ thus demonstrating or revealing to the lost world what is the will of God. As we study and the Holy Spirit reveals truth to our heart, and we become 'doers of the Word and not hearers only deceiving our own selves we are transformed into the image and likeness of Jesus. When the world sees us, they should see Jesus. In Matthew 8 Jesus the Messiah demonstrated His authority over sickness and desease, nature, and demonic possession. Ephesians 1:15-23 In my prayers I keep asking the God of our Lord Yeshua the Messiah, the glorious Father, to gie you a spirit of wisdom and revelation, so that you will have full knowledge of Him. I pray that He will give light to the eyes f your hearts, so that you will understand the hope to which He has called you, what rich glories there are in the inheritance He has promised His people, and how surpassingly great is His power (dunamos-miracle working) working in us who trust Him. It works with the same mighty strength He used when He worked in the Messiah to raise Him from the dead and seat Him at His right hand in heaven, far above every ruler, authority, power dominion or any other name that can be named either in this world or in the world to come. Also, He has put all things under His feet and made Him head over everyting for the Messianic Community, which is His body, the FULL EXPRESSION of Him who fills all creation. Mark 16 Also see Matthew 12 because it is the Holy Spirit within that does the work. He reveals, He teaches, He empowers as we submit and obey God's WORD. Jesus the Christ came as a man to redeem us from the curse man has been under since Adam. He demonstrated while He was on the earth the will of God and spoke often of the kingdom of God to come. This kingdom which is a spiritual kingdom is present and all who are born again are in this kingdom. Christ is the head having been given all authority by the Father. We are His subjects with the authority to use His NAME (His authority) to do the work He did. He said 'the works I do, greater works shall you do because I go to my Father'. In this He is saying that because He fulfills the requirements of the New Covenant by sheding His sinless blood and therefore being raised from the dead (firstborn of many brethren) the Father will send the Holy Spirit to continue the work. But what some seem to miss is that the Holy Spirit will only do through us what we allow. By FAITH we listen and obey God's Word, then the Holy Spirit can do the work. Again see Mark 16 These signs shall follow them that 'believe'. God bless God bless |

3 | MAN IN DOMINION AGAIN THRU JESUS CHRIST | Gen 1:26 | EdB | 81147
Graceful You still confuse the words dominion and authority. Man was given dominion (ability to subdue)over all the earth. Not authority (ability to demand obedience) of all the earth. And Satan never had the authority that required us to be in obedience to him. Instead he used lies, tricks and deception to get man to follow him. Your thinking is always oriented toward the physical rather than the spiritual. Look how you answered Radioman2 when he asked what are the "works" Jesus is talking about in John 14:9-12? It isn't as as you think the miracles. Read the context Jesus is talking about the preaching of the Gospel. He saying I preached the "Good News" and you will do it even more. Jesus was concerned about salvation the salvation of all those that would be born after Him. Not their physical condition. Their physical condition is temporary existing only as long as they live. However their spiritual state is eternal. When Jesus had this discourse with Nathanael in John 1:48-50 Nathanael said to Him, "How do You know me?" Jesus answered and said to him, "Before Philip called you, when you were under the fig tree, I saw you." 49Nathanael answered Him, "Rabbi, You are the Son of God; You are the King of Israel." 50Jesus answered and said to him, "Because I said to you that I saw you under the fig tree, do you believe? You will see greater things than these." Again what was he talking about? Miracles, healings, prophecy? No Jesus was saying you will see people enter the kingdom of God that is the greatest miracle, the greatest work that ever existed. If in fact Jesus was referring to miracles and healings in John 14:9-12 and Jesus raised the dead what could we do that would be greater? Be blessed and start thinking spiritual instead of physical. Your are a spiritual being living temporally in physical body. Be blessed and be a blessing EdB |
