1 | Please teach me about the Trinity. | Gen 1:1 | Ray | 77792
Hi jlpangilinan, Let's talk about John 13:16 and talk about Jesus being our Master [Teacher] and Lord. I believe that the verse is an example of life on this earth. The Teacher had just given them an example by washing their feet. They were to know these things and do them. No one of us is greater than the other. I say that this is an earthly example because in my study of the passage I can not find understanding in the verse by capitalizing any of those pronouns. It is talking about equality among us. These are the things that we should know and do. John 13:16 was referred back to in John 15:20. Here in this John 15 passage Jesus talks of what He does. John 15:12 says, "This is My commandment, that you love one another, just as I have loved you." In the next verse, (in contrast to John 13:16) I see the verse as talking about Himself. Here He has Himself as an example, so I have the pronouns capitalized. John 15:13, "Greater love has no *One than this, that *One lay down *His life for *His friends. You are My friends if you do what I command you." This One who gave up His life can be compared to John 10:30, "I and the Father are one." Or John 3:15,16, "that whoever believes may in Him have eternal life. For God so loved the world..." But the question to be asked is this: Is Jesus your Master? There is no strange god among us. There is only one God. No longer did Jesus call them slaves, for the slave does not know what his master is doing. (an example that they could relate to). But He called them friends and He was to die for them and He makes that fact known. But there is no strange god among them. This Man who was their friend is also their Teacher and Master. For John 15:20 I have penciled in my copy a capitalized "Master" for again it is talking about Him. We are not greater than He. (I am a man and He came as a Man. I am a slave, or better, a servant and friend of my Master.) I am "one" who is to love just as the "One" who gave Himself up for me. John 15:20, "Remember the word that I said to you, 'A slave is not greater than his *Master.' If they persecuted Me, they will also persecute you; if they kept My word, they will keep yours also." John 15:23, "He who hate Me hates My Father also." May we know Him better and better and know Him as our Master and Teacher; even the one true God. From the heart, Ray |

Ray, You post a very long statement but not simply answer my question. Joh 13:16 Verily, verily, I say unto you, The servant is not greater than his lord; neither he that is sent greater than he that sent him. If we use past tense in that verses, or we should say the time now, who really the one sent the Father or Jesus Christ? We cannot change that anymore my friend it was Jesus was sent of the Father, even He came back in His God form, still it is Jesus was sent by the Father, and as Christ said: "neither he that is sent greater than he that sent him." even Christ now is in heaven still He is the one who sent by the Father no one can change that Fact. I want you to focus on this verse: Mr 13:32 But of that day and that hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels which are in heaven, neither the Son, but the Father. Here, Jesus said, only the Father knew the time and day of His second coming. If they really equal why christ did not know His own second coming? If you said that Christ i man at the time when He stated that, how about the Holy Spirit, did the Holy Spirit sometimes forget the time of Christ second coming if they are really equal, the Holy Spirit should know the second coming of Christ, but as Christ said" "But of that day and that hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels which are in heaven, neither the Son, but the Father" Only the Father, Again, you cannot change that Christ is the Son, whether He come back to His God form He still the Son, and Christ said "knoweth no man, niether the son" Please answer: Why the Holy Spirit did not know the second coming of Christ if they really equal? God bless, |

Hi jlpangilinan, You speak of "the one sent". I speak of the One sent. You speak of the man and the son; I speak of the Man and the Son. You write in your profile of the One God, the Son. You also speak of the One God, the Father. And the Holy Spirit is spoken of. You can not understand the Trinity if you have two Ones and a one. Why do you not think of the Spirit as a Person? "And it is the Spirit who bears witness, because the Spirit is truth." 1 John 5:7 1) "Who is the one who overcomes the world, but he who believes that Jesus is the Son of God?" 1 John 5:6. The Greek manuscript goes on and literally says "This One is the *one who came by water and blood, Jesus Christ." 2) It continues, "And the Spirit is the *one who bears witness..." 3) The NKJ continues, 1 John 5:7, "For there are three that bear witness in heaven: the Father, the Word, and the Holy Spirit; and these three are *one." Jlpangilinan, it is difficult to understand the blend of the Persons in the Scriptures, but there is no doubt that it teaches about the one true God; and the three are one. I know that you wanted me to focus on Mark 13:32. But I say to you, who do you think is speaking in verse 23 where it says "But take heed; behold, I have told you everything in advance." Whose words will not pass away? From the heart, Ray |

You write too much, Just explain to me and show me that said that they are equal word by word. Christ said they are not equal and you said they are equal. you are right I cannot understand Trinity because it is not biblical, ther are other simply explain that it is like an "egg" and I dont say any verse in the Bible that God is like an egg. As apostle paul say: Ga 1:8 But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed. and paul did not teach that Christ and God the Father are equal you cannot find that verse that Paul will said they are equal: Php 2:9 Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name: 9. Torrey Php 2:10 That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth; Php 2:11 And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father. If we understand etimology, if there is a giver there is reciepient, if they are really equal why God the Father has to give Him that power, if they are really equal Christ need not to received that because He had that power already, oh what a logic of trinity is that? You are right I want to focus on mark 13:32 and please before we continue further discussion kindly explain to me that the Holy Spirit which is a co-equal did not know the second coming of Christ. Mr 13:32 But of that day and that hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels which are in heaven, neither the Son, but the Father. Again who is the Son, it is christ you cannot change that fact. As christ said "neither the son" do you think after His ressurection He is no longer the Son. Please explain, and dont go far just that verse and if able to show me the answer that I want we can continue this discussion. God bless, |

Hi jlpangilinan, 1) Philippians 2:6, "who, although He existed in the form of God,..." Philippians 2:9, "...highly exalted Him, and bestowed on Him the name which is above every name,..." Philippians 2:13, "...who is [the One who is] at work in you to do His good pleasure. Those were verses to compare word by word and a similar one is John 10:30, "I and the Father are one." As far as the Philippians passage is concerned, for verse 11 do you think of Jesus Christ being confessed as the Lord Jesus, the Lord God, or just as Lord? From the heart, Ray |

6 | Please teach me about the Trinity. | Gen 1:1 | jlpangilinan | 78037
Ray, I am enough for this, you simply ignore the real questions. 1. The trinity taught that the "three" are equal but in Mr 13:32 But of that day and that hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels which are in heaven, neither the Son, but the Father. Christ stated that only the Father knows His second coming, if the three really equal why it is only the Father knows the second coming of Christ? Is the Holy Spirit forget the information that has with His co-equal? I hope you really want to answers this question. If you cannot show the answers dont bother I you cannot, because Father is the Greater than all, and they are not equal as Christ said. And you cannot show me any verse that will stated thatChrist will said "I and the Father are Equal" God bless, |

7 | Please teach me about the Trinity. | Gen 1:1 | Morant61 | 78130
Greetings Johnny! Good afternoon my friend! It seems that there is much confusion out there about the nature of Christ. Scriptures are clear that there is only one God my friend! Is. 43:10, among others, clearly states this fact. Yet, John 1:1, among others, says that Jesus is God. So, the doctrine of the Trinity simply explains how these two pieces of data can be true at the same time. You are correct that Jesus said He did not know the time. However, this was during His incarnation. As a Man, Jesus did not know. Just like, as a Man, He could die. But, according to Phil. 2:5-11, these were voluntary restrictions which Jesus placed upon Himself. As to His essential nature, He is God. He is Creator and Savior. But, during the incarnation, Hebrews tells us that He become a little lower than an angel. He took upon Himself weaknesses and frailities. He experienced hunger and thrist. He experienced pain and even death. But, none of this changes the fact that He is God. Your Brother in Christ, Tim Moran |

Dear Tim, I agree, that Christ at the time is lower than angels, as a man He has limitation. But that verses very clear stated "But the Father". The Trinity taught that the Three are equal why its only the Fathers knows about that information? How about the Holy Spirit. If they really equal the Holy Spirit should know the second coming of Christ, but Christ said "but the Father" Mr 13:32 But of that day and that hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels which are in heaven, neither the Son, but the Father. God bless, |

Greetings Johnny! Since we agree that Christ was limited at the time of His incarnation, why is it hard to believe that there was something He did not know or could not do while He was man? Mk. 13:32 never says that He will never know, but at the present time, He does not know. Your Brother in Christ, Tim Moran |

I am after with the statement of Christ. Mr 13:32 But of that day and that hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels which are in heaven, neither the Son, but the Father. Mt 24:36 But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only. "My Father only" The trinity taught that the "three" is being equal in One Godhead. If they are really equal why Christ said "my Father only" How about the Holy Spirit? Did this other person did not know so Christ will stated "my Father only". God bless, |
