1 | Satan knowing your thoughts | Ps 94:11 | austexgal | 135828
As a child I was told that Satan can only hear words and does not know your thoughts. Is this true? Where in the Bible (if its true) can I find reference to this be true?

I agree with Steve. That said, however, one must remember that Satan is very old. He is also very intelligent. He has had a long time to study human nature. Just as we can "read the mind" of a little child, I am sure that we are frequently equally transparent to Satan. Of course, I am using the word "Satan" in the broadest sense of the word. He is not omnipresent. Probably very few of us have actually been in his presence. He has an army of minions, though, who are probably often present. But Satan is called the "Lord of the flies." They are but nuisances without any power that is not granted by God, and are used fully to His own eternal purpose.
3 | Satan knowing your thoughts | Ps 94:11 | Tleigh2703 | 136132
Satan is very old. Satan cannot examine our thought pattern, but he does know our family history all 6,000 years of it. He knows it well enough to tempt each generation with the weaknesses(sins)of their forefather. The result is another 4 year curse upon the family (Duet. 5:9). Since our very nature is to sin (because of the first Adam's fall)it is easier to leave a 4 year curse vs a thousand year blessing (Deut 7:9). In a lot of ways Satan is just like man. He sits and watches our behavior and then he uses it against us. This is the reason it is so important that we ask God for his forgiveness and repent quickly. The awesome part of this is 4,000 years into our history Christ died for us and gave us the power to become like him. Sin Free! Thanks |
