Let's move the discussion of animal rationality to a more appropriate verse. Q. 1) What does this verse mean? Q. 2) Dose it apply to horses and mules only? Peace, a.k.a. LooseCannon |

2 | Can Animals Think? | Ps 32:9 | prayon | 21421
Greetings, This verse does not refer to animals being able to think but rather to some people being stubborn as mules rather than letting God guide them step by step. The bit and bridle refers to God having to discipline them somewhat like you use a bit in a mules mouth to guide it. Some people leave God only one option, if He wants to keep them useful to Him, He must use discipline and punishment. prayon
3 | Can Animals Think? | Ps 32:9 | Hank | 21429
Prayon, right on! There have been times in my life when I was so stubborn that to call me as stubborn as a mule would have been an insult to any self-respecting mule! So therefore I not only am able to agree with your interpretaton of this passage but can identify with it as well :-) --Hank
