1 | Using Job 34:32 to understand 35:3? | Job 34:32 | terrib | 151465
Hi Ray, "Should it be You or you for Job 35:3?" If you read the context it is Elihu speaking to Job. Why would you want to make Job divine? Job 35:1 Moreover Elihu answered and said, Job 35:2 Thinkest thou this to be thy right, Or sayest thou, My righteousness is more than God's, Job 35:3 That thou sayest, What advantage will it be unto thee? And, What profit shall I have, more than if I had sinned? terrib |

2 | Using Job 34:32 to understand 35:3? | Job 34:32 | Ray | 151468
Hi terrib, I agree with you. Yet both the NKJ and the NASB have a capitalized You. Although, in fairness to the NASB it has in the marginal note [Or, you]. We should say to (God), "Teach me what I do not see." Job34:32 "But no one says, "Where is God my (Maker), Who gives songs in the night, 11 Who teaches us more than the beasts of the earth, And makes us wiser than the birds of the heavens?'" From the heart, Ray |
