1 | When was the Book Of Life written? | Revelation | Frank | 36158
Were the names in the Book Of Life entered by God at the beginning of all times? I cannot find any passage in the bible saying when anybody's name is ADDED to the Book Of Life - Revelation 13:8 and 17:8 say "..from the foundation of the world.." Revelation 3:5 and Psalm 69:28 say that anybody's name can be erased from the Book Of Life Revelation 20:12, if the Book Of Life is the only book that counts (Revelation 20:15)then what are the other books for obviously containing the deeds by which everybody is judged? |

2 | When was the Book Of Life written? | Revelation | kalos | 36165
Question: "When was the Book Of Life written?" Answer: "from (before) the foundation of the world". Rev. 13:8 (ESV) and all who dwell on earth will worship it, everyone whose name has not been written *before the foundation of the world* in the book of life of the Lamb that was slain. (Emphasis added.) Rev. 17:8 (ESV) The beast that you saw was, and is not, and is about to rise from the bottomless pit and go to destruction. And the dwellers on earth whose names have not been written in the book of life *from the foundation of the world" will marvel to see the beast, because it was and is not and is to come. (Emphasis added.) Question: I cannot find any passage in the bible saying when anybody's name is ADDED to the Book Of Life. Answer: That is because the names have been written in the book of life *from the foundation of the world*. Question: Revelation 3:5 . . . says that "anybody's name can be erased from the Book Of Life". Answer: What Revelation 3:5 ACTUALLY SAYS is: Rev. 3:5 (ESV) The one who conquers will be clothed thus in white garments, and I will *never* blot his name out of the book of life. I will confess his name before my Father and before his angels. (Emphasis added.) It SAYS: "I will *never* blot his name out of the book of life." (Emphasis added.) It DOES NOT SAY that "anybody's name can be erased from the Book Of Life". |
