I have always wondered about the covenant marriage and if there is ever a time that you can divorce especially if one in the marriage commits adultery? What God brings together let no man separate. Matthew 5:31"It has been said, 'Anyone who divorces his wife must give her a certificate of divorce.'[a] 32But I tell you that anyone who divorces his wife, except for marital unfaithfulness, causes her to become an adulteress, and anyone who marries the divorced woman commits adultery." |

you answered your own ? has that one person that commited adultery given the other person a certificate of divorce? If not than you should and work it out until forgiveness has come about or until it can't be resolved.
3 | Correct Interpretation | James | Aliennow | 159001
I know of no one who has committed adultery personally. I just want to make sure that I am interpreting this passage correctly. It seems odd that a person can commit adultery, be given a certificate of divorce, and then be free to do it all over again.

Aliennow: I'm not sure what you mean when you say "and then be free to do IT all over again". Do WHAT all over again? If you're referring to committing adultery, then my question is: Where in the Bible does it say that a divorce makes a person free to commit adultery all over again? If you are not referring to adultery, then what are you referring to when you say free to do IT all over again? Grace to you, Kalos |
