ig8ball, I think you're right on this whole issue. I don't know why people would think they can be saved, continue to sin defiantly, and then go to Heaven. Jesus said there was only one unforgiveable sin, and Numbers 15:30 clearly defines that sin (blasphemey) as continuing defiantly in sin. Jesus also said "if you love me, you will obey my commandments." It's not only supported by the Bible, but also logical. Jesus took all our sins upon himself. Everytime we continue defiantly in sin we are saying we don't care how much we hurt him. That would prove we don't love him. |
