Acts 18:26 and 21:9 do show women were active - teaching with her husband (Acts 18:26) - only prophesied (Acts 21:9) Also the word for pastor and overseerer are masculine, so the answer is no. There are more passges than those you cited that support this. |

Searcher56 you keep searching and seek God's voice and you will learn that females should pastor. In Scripture most things are in the masculine and not the feminine. Do you think that means those blessings, promises were only for men-I hope not. When it says, "man shall not live by bread alone..." The "man" in that text refers to women as well-believe it or not. So you making a note that in Scripture the word for overseer and pastor are masculine really don't hold much weight considering that's how the Bible was written. But for you and all others that believe women should not pastor, I pray that the Lord will show all of you the right way of thinking. With so many anointed women pastors out there who have helped men and women come to God it would be absurd to think that God was not pleased in their various ministries. And that it was anything other than HIS Holy Spirit that enables these women to do what they do. | ||||||
