Great question lookinforacity!!! Why does everyone call them Jewish Holy Days??? Leviticus 23:1-2 And the Lord spoke to Moses saying. "Speak to the children of "Israel" and say to them: The Feast of the "LORD", which you shall proclaim to be holy convocations, these are "My" feasts. Not all the children of Israel were Jews. There were 12 tribes of Israel only the tribe of Judah the tribe of Levi and part of Benjamin were ever known as Jews. These Feast days are the "LORDS" Holy days. These days if fully understood map out Gods plan of salvation from the sacrifice of the Lamb to the Kingdom of God reigning on the earth. The church founded on the day of Pentacost, a holy day, kept these days all through the New Testament. They also observed the Lords Sabbath Day. Which is also a Feast Day of the Lord.Lev. 23 They will also be kept after the rerturn of Christ Zech 14. There are 10's of thousands of christians that observe these days not as a means of salvation but as a remembrance of God"s plan of salvation for all mankind not just of the "Jews". Hope this helps you lookinforacity. My name is Steven :) peace |
