1 | What of the Law applies to me a believe? | Romans | 10ECPreacher | 200836
MJH, Here are some more verses that may help answer your question.... Romans 10:4 Amplified For Christ is the end of the Law [the limit at which it ceases to be, for the Law leads up to Him Who is the fulfillment of its types, and in Him the purpose which it was designed to accomplish is fulfilled. That is, the purpose of the Law is fulfilled in Him] as the means of righteousness (right relationship to God) for everyone who trusts in and adheres to and relies on Him. Galatians 3:24-26 Amplified 24 So that the Law served [to us Jews] as our trainer [our guardian, our guide to Christ, to lead us] until Christ [came], that we might be justified (declared righteous, put in right standing with God) by and through faith. 25 But now that the faith has come, we are no longer under a trainer (the guardian of our childhood). 26 For in Christ Jesus you are all sons of God through faith. Hebrews 8:6-7 Amplified 6But as it now is, He [Christ] has acquired a [priestly] ministry which is as much superior and more excellent [than the old] as the covenant (the agreement) of which He is the Mediator (the Arbiter, Agent) is superior and more excellent, [because] it is enacted and rests upon more important (sublimer, higher, and nobler) promises. 7 For if that first covenant had been without defect, there would have been no room for another one or an attempt to institute another one. Hebrews 10:1 Amplified 1 FOR SINCE the Law has merely a rude outline (foreshadowing) of the good things to come--instead of fully expressing those things--it can never by offering the same sacrifices continually year after year make perfect those who approach [its altars]. Galatians 5:4 Amplified 4 If you seek to be justified and declared righteous and to be given a right standing with God through the Law, you are brought to nothing and so separated (severed) from Christ. You have fallen away from grace (from God's gracious favor and unmerited blessing). Hope this helps.... In Christ, tdc |

2 | What of the Law applies to me a believe? | Romans | MJH | 200850
My question wasn't "Which is the correct view?" My question was, "Are their any articles that systematically spell out a particular theologies beliefs concerning the Law and the Christian?" Not that I am not thankful, but honestly, I'm just looking for good articles. I'm not even saying which view I personally agree with. MJH |
