God makes it pretty clear in ROM 11:1-2 "I say then, God has not rejected His people, has He? May it never be! For I too am an Israelite, a descendant of Abraham, of the tribe of Benjamin. God has not rejected His people whom He foreknew." God's promises to Israel are based upon God's faithfulness not Israel's. |

It is a good point that many people forget. It is as when arminian says that it is not true that the Bible teaches the perseverance of the saints. But while it is required of us to be faithful, our faithfulness is much more anchored in the perseverance of God to keep his covenant. | ||||||
