1 | Evidences of Faith? | Romans | Searcher56 | 76898 | ||
Repentance ... Act 2:38, 3:19, 11:18; Heb 6:1 Confession ... Mat 3:6; Rom 10:9-10; Heb 4:14, 10:23; 1 Jo 1:9, 4:2-13, 15 I think repentance and confession are evidences of faith, as well asworks (Jam 2) Heb 6:1 Therefore leaving the elementary teaching about the Christ, let us press on to maturity, not laying again a foundation of repentance from dead works and of faith toward God, Rom 10:9-10 that if you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved; for with the heart a person believes, resulting in righteousness, and with the mouth he confesses, resulting in salvation. Hello Searcher56, I'm glad you are starting to see my point. This is what I've been trying to say all along. To answer your question: Of course there is no wind without evidence of it. And it follows, as you have here, that there would be no love, faith etc without the evidence of it. Great point! Keep up the good posting. Disciplerami |
