Acts 20:7 the disciples came together and break bread on the first day of the week.. this proved that the first day of the week "Sunday" is a formal worshiping day, a day of gathering to gether for the saints of god. ref. 1 Cor 16:1,2 also onthe first day of the week christ rose from the dead and visited his desciple and they worshiped him. when teh day of Penticost was fully come this was 10 days and penticost began on a friday, so the final day that great day was a Sunday the "First day of the week" |

As a follow up- In the old testament it says"remember the sabbath day and keep it holy". When England translated the King James version of the Bible they changed the sabbath day to sunday. It is correct that sunday is the first day of the week, but it deosn't mean that we can't make any day of the week our sabbath(a day set aside for rest and focusing on worshiping Jesus)-just my opinion. Exodus 31:16,17 -Talks about resting on the 7th day to be refreshed. We are called by God to worship Him at all times with our whole lives. | ||||||
