What do you say to a person, that say's I don't have time to go to church because I have to work and I need to handle thing's here in my home first and beside's I need my rest and I don't have the time to read my word but, as soon as I get things under control here I will do these thing's. I have raised a couple point's to them that we talk to God in prayer and he talk's to us in his word. And that we should desire his word like new born babies 1Peter 1:2.I also have said that we don't do them God does.I have also used, But my God shall supply all your needs according to his riches and glory in Christ Jesus.Philippians 4:19. Should I stop witnessing to them about this subject? and when they complain don't say anything? Keep praying for them and let the Holy work? |

Hi Natalyi, I dealt with this situation personally with family members. I found that once I stopped quoting the Bible for every word that came out of their mouths (that's how I got this name!) and for every situation they experienced, they started to pay attention to me. What got their attention was the way I handled myself in adversities, they saw how faithful I was to God, and most of all, they couldn't understand why I am happy all the time. (I owe it all to Jesus!) He said to let our lights shine. This doesn't mean that we have to stop witnessing verbally, but let your life be a witness - how you conduct yourself as a child of God. I believe that this is the reason why we are to study to show ourselves approved to God, only He knows when a soul is ready to receive His word through you. When I was baptized with the Holy Ghost, He led me to first, have a genuine relationship with Himself, and second, to fully submit to Him, that way, when I witness, I wasn't "casting pearls" or just "a voice in the wilderness," neither was I speaking of myself, I was just a vessel used by God. Be encouraged, although the people seem stubborn, you have planted some good seeds. What I would say (if I was led to do so) to someone that say the things in your post is 1) God wants to be first in your life. He will take care of you. "But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you." Matthew (6:33) 2) Be thankful for what you have and don't be greedy. "And having food and raiment let us be therewith content." (1 Timothy 6:8) Don't stop verbally witnessing (as led by the Holy Spirit), when they complain, you say, 'How do can I help?' Remember Jesus said that if they don't receive your word, shake the dust off. However, keep praying for them and please keep loving them because that's what draw soul - His love. I'm dealing with someone very close to me now who knows about paying tithes, but refuses with a bunch of excuses. I see this person in all kinds of financial trouble, home falling apart, losing in all areas of life. But this person has to make a choice for herself. All I can do is what God leads me to do, and that's pray and continue to love. Believe it or not, these are much more powerful than Bible verses. Remember, they are spiritually blind and cannot see what you see. Show them the way with your life which shines the Light of Jesus. Don't count them as lost, you may be the sower, someone else will water, but God gives the increase! I hope this helps you. WalkingTalkingBible |

I tell u the truth. You sound like my pastor. Are you a pastor? I will just hint on what you said to me. Keep living your life for Jesus and let your light shine. Because we are the "salt of the earth". You are also God's Witness. So take your advice and keep praying for them, and loving them. Have you given them the verse in Malachi about that "God say's, Test me and prove me and see if I won't pour you out a blessing that you can not hold"? Of course with the leading of the spirit). I would love them as you said, and keep praying for them that God's Will- will be done in that area. Maybe God is dealing with them now since they know about tithing. You know that God takes us through things before we pay attention. My husband and I went through the same thing with money and with places to stay. Then one day the light Shoned on us. Once we fell an our knees and cried out help. "Help Lord, we can't take this anymore let your will be done in our lives". (I belive that sometimes all you can say is Lord help me We all need to ask for help to help us instead of telling God we want this and that and then pray on it and exspect God to bless). You see once we cast our cares unto the Lord he will help us out but the key thing is that we have to let the Lord do it. Sorry to be so long winded but, when u know how good the Lord has been to you -you can't help it. Praise the Lord, Natalyi |

I know what you, mean! I don't mind you being long winded, I love to hear testamonies on how God is giving the victory in others lives. You're right, I'm also God's witness. Yes, I have given her the verses on robbing God in tithes, offerings and the blessings (Malachi 3:8-12). I've also given her spiritual advice on believing in God which is trusting Him for everything and also on giving ungrudgingly. The problem I run into the most in teaching about tithing is that people say that they can't afford to tithe. What they don't understand is that they can't afford NOT to tithe! Thanks for your response. WalkingTalkingBible |

WalkingtalkingBible-I know what you mean about them not knowing that they can't afford not to tithe. I have a question on somehting and I would like your veiw on this: There are some people that I know that does not want to fellowship with other belivers such as catholics and ect.. And doesn't the Bible say's that we are "suppose" to love one another. I always learned that regaurdless of where a person fellowships that "He that has the son has life, and He that has not the son of God has not life. 1John 5:13. If this person has a relationship with the Lord i believe that he/she is giong to be with the Lord. I can't see why we all can't just get alone. What do you believe? I will be open minded. Natalyi |

Your outlook is a very good one. Love is what sets true believers apart from all others who profess to be believers. Your question helped me to take a closer look at ‘fellowship’ and ‘believers.’ This verse came to mind: "Finally, all [of you] should be of one and the same mind (united in spirit), sympathizing [with one another], loving [each other] as brethren [of one household], compassionate and courteous (tenderhearted and humble)." 1 Peter 3:8 (AMP) What stands out in this verse is ‘one and the same mind (united in spirit). True believers have that one and same mind towards Truth because they are submitted to and led by God. There may be different levels of faith (new converts to mature saints), but everyone (of the true Church) is united in spirit, by the Spirit. We believe in one God, three manifestations: the Father, Word, and the Holy Spirit (1 John 5:7). We believe that God came in the flesh (born of a virgin) to die for the sins of the world. We believe that Jesus resurrected on the third day. We believe that God, manifested as the Holy Spirit, dwells in every baptized (not water) believer. We believe that Jesus in the only mediator between man and God (1 Timothy 2:5). We believe that Jesus will return. What do we call those who believe something other than the truth? What if they believe in a god and not God? Are they still believers? I haven’t found a religion yet that doesn’t have some erroneous teaching and doctrines. However, knowing that God loves every one of us equally, whether, catholic, non-denomination, Jew, Mormon, Jehovah's Witness, sinner, etc., we are to love these souls unconditionally. God is not partial when it comes to saving souls. It's not good enough, in God's eyes, that one believes in something; one must believe that God is God (Hebrews 11:6). I believe God places different ones in our lives so that we can be used by Him to bring them into the light of the Truth. Afterall, it is not God's will that any should perish and this should be our will also. Thanks for this opportunity to share my views and let me know your thoughts. WalkingTalkingBible |

WalkingTalkingBilbe-I strongly believe that you and I are right we are the Lord witness and the thought of you saying that the other's that do not believe in Jesus being born of a virgin and ect... is our chance to tell them and to show them in God's word. God say's do not take nothing from it, or add nothing to it (Rev.18-19). Hebrews 4:12 say's that: For the word of God is quick and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and morrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart. When we speak in love and give them our testimony of how the Lord has been good to us they may be willing to say that they were wrong and want to come to know the truth or the whole truth and help "them" God. Speaking to them with Love and a Sound Mind. Still some may think that they are right, and we have to keep praying and saying "Forgive them Lord for they know not what they do(Luke 23:34).Bring them to the point to where they undering your will, bring them to a piont where they will not lean to their own understanding (Proverbs 3:5-6). Thank-you for listening. Again sorry for being so long winded. Your Sis, In Christ Natalyi |

WalkingTalkingBible- I made a few mistakes and when I make mistakes I like to correct them. In the last note I wrote I ment to put Rev. 22:18-19. And where you see "Undering". It is suppose to say "Understand." Please 4-give me. Will you forgive me? I have learned that when I am asking for forgiveness It is not just enough to say I'm sorry. You also have to ask the person for forgiveness. You also can reach me theJordansriver@centurytel.net Or www.Redemptivenetworkservices.com
9 | Proverbs 3:5-6 | Matthew | NATALYI | 126171
Proverbs 3:5-6 say's "Lean not to your own understanding but, knowledge him and he shall direct your path". I am having a problem with this. How do you know that you are "Really" leaning on the Lord? I ask myself this question from time to time. It may be the devil trying to get into my mind or maybe it's just me. I'm just asking this question and trying to see if it is just me and does anyone else have this problem from time to time. And how do you deal with this problem after praying about it. And if you do. How do you, and what do you do to "Apply" this to your every day life? I am a honest person and I am not ashamed to ask for help. I'm just speaking on what I am dealing with in my life right now.
10 | Proverbs 3:5-6 | Matthew | JCrichton | 126190
Hi, Nataly! I think that everyone goes through this phase, or something similar, throught their lifetime... Personally, I pray to the Holy Spirit that He guide my words, my emotions and my actions so that I may be humble to Christ and preach Christ and not Angel... I think that we can doubt ourselves (our devotion, our determination, our personal convictions, our strength, our abilities) and that could even prove to be a usefull tool to keep the ego monster in check... But we can never doubt the Lord. James says, if we lack wisdom ask God--it is that simple! (James 1:5), he also tells us that we are not to fear the devil, rather we are to subject ourselves to God and to draw near Him (James 4:7-8) and He will bring us closer to Him. Now, how do we know that we are learning from the Lord? (Romans 10:8-11; Romans 15:4; 1 Corinthians 15:1-11; John 8:31-32 and, most important, John 15:10). Our obedience to Christ's Word, as we surrender our will to the Holy Spirit, allows us to be in the Truth (John 16:13). Stay in the Holy Spirit, He will guide you to the Truth! God Bless! Angel |
