Hank, Studying is how you find out whether something is true or not. You study and then you decide. What I found is after 22 years of thinking I knew God, that he either doesnt exist or he's just very cruel. And judging from the amount of things that Christians dont know, Id say, He probably just doesnt exist. |

My friend, please don't judge God by what His creatures know or don't know. May I ask you to do this: sit down and read the Bible from cover to cover with as much objectivity as you can muster. The fact that you have bothered to register in this forum possibly indicates one of two things: you are searching still and God is dealing with your heart and mind, or -- and I trust this be not true of you -- you merely wish to be argumentative with Christians for believing in a God that you think does not exist and poke fun at the Bible which you consider, in your words, a crock. Which is it? I shall remember you in my prayers, that God will deal with you and that you will come to a saving faith in Christ Jesus. You will note that this thread has been restricted and I believe you know why. --Hank

No Hank, I dont know why. Can you tell me? Is it because a Christian's faith is only hanging by a bare thread and for someone to tell you that they have been a Christian for 22 years and has just now, today actually, decided that based on what I seen of God and the things that have happened in my life, and looking at how confused Christians are, that I no longer believe? If someone had come to me with this, I would have just prayed for them, knowing they were just confused and needed help. Nothing like this could ever have broken my faith, but then thats just me.

Some forums are "anything goes" forums, but this one isn't. The Lockman Foundation, which owns this website, has determined that no attacks on the authority of the Bible will be permitted. This will be my final response on this thread. I do wish you farewell. --Hank

Wow. This thread witnesses to the importance of the forum guidelines. Clearly, any question about biblical truth is meaningless if one holds that the bible is not true. It never ceases to amaze me how we can become blind to God's truth by clinging to our own understandings.
