Dear anniej, Welcome to the forum. This question has been asked many times on the forum. You may do a word search by "lucifer" at your right hand corner of the screen for more information. For your easy reference, I believe the below quote from an old post (#24006) of a forum participant "Makarios" helpful to your question. Shalom Azure ***** Greetings shy! Isaiah 14:12-15 is thought to be describing the fall of Satan (as well as Ezekiel 28:12-19), and Isaiah 14:11 states, "Your pomp and the music of your harps have been brought down to Sheol; maggots are spread out as your bed beneath you and worms are your covering." I believe that Isaiah 14:11 is the "source" for the belief that Satan was in charge of worship and music. However, that 'position' of Satan is not explicitly stated as such in Scripture, even though Ezekiel 28:12-19 describes Satan as the 'guardian cherub' to the Throne of God. Blessings to you, Nolan |
