1 | What is the name of Job's wife? | Job | EdB | 131364
Hank Speaking of Cane we made it through another Hurricane. Praise the Lord! If anyone has noticed it looks like God has X’ed out Florida and I live about 35 miles north west of the center of the X. Praise God we suffered no real damage however my Oak trees have lost about 60 percent of their leaves. My brother lives on the East coast right where Florence entered Florida. He has no damage but has been without power since 10 PM Saturday. We lost power for about 12 hours Sunday 3PM and it came back on about 3 AM Monday morning. Well we get to clean out the refrig! There are some trees blown down and things like that but mostly damage to signs, traffic lights and some flooding. We had about 6 inches of rain and that sounds like a lot but I have seen it rain 10 inches in couple hours here in Florida so 6 inches over a couple of days is really no big deal. There is flooding but the places that flood, usually flood in every rain. Remember Florida is one big swamp to begin with. Wind is dying down the rain has stopped and things are beginning to return to normal I thank God it wasn’t worst. Praise God for His mercy!! EdB |

Norrie Disney is still there. Disney’s infrastructure is fascinating. I have many friends that worked there either as they were going to college or later as a career. They tell fascinating stories of how Disney is ran. If other businesses would pick up on some of their good points they would increase their productivity. Of course Disney has it’s problems probably the biggest the fact they do seem to cater to the homosexuals. This may be in part due to the fact that many of the “artistic” employees are said to be homosexuals. However I do know many good and faithful Christians also work there. They built it smart. The parking lot is made of asphalt that allows water to pass right through. The park itself is built over an underground complex that is up to four levels deep and actually has a four lane highway running through it. Disney supplies their own electricity, water and sewage and they have massive pumps to keep rain water out of the underground. If you didn't know they can get to any area on the surface through doors no one pays attention to. This is in case of an injury or heart attack they can get up get to surface and get the person and have them out of sight in seconds so the day isn't spoiled for the other visitors. I understand all the buildings and rides were engineered to withstand something like 200 mph winds and are made so they are actually aerodynamic. Personally I find the behind the scenes far more interesting than the park itself. They have built a whole community around the park and you just can not believe the size and scale of what it takes to run that park. For example they have a trucking warehouse that must have over 150 loading bays and I know there is at least another loading area underground. That is a lot of trucks I have seen trucks at every bay and at least the same number sitting waiting to unload or load. Disney hires talented artists on such a large scale they have a casting studio on site Besides the actors and actresses and everything that goes with putting on a production they also have the up front people booking and planning each minute of each day. They also hire thousands of people to work in all of these behind the scenes facilities. Plumbers, electricians, carpenters, technicians, vendors, ride operators, clean up, public safety, sales, just about everything you would find in another city except they all work for Disney. If Disney ever blew away there would be such a major economic impact in central Florida I think the ripple would effect the whole nation. As part of the that communities around Disney they do have churches. One of the main communities is called Celebration and the Assemblies of God has a new work started there and it is proving to be very successful. Also Orlando itself is has many many churches of all sizes, AG and other denominations. So hopefully we will see changes in Disney. Truly it is a harvest field ripe for harvest. Let us pray God will place a Godly man in position to make decisions and Disney and this wonderful facility will be used to God's glory. EdB |

I knew Disney had underground facilities because they were in a book I read before but I never realized they were as extensive as you said. All I know is I won't suppirt Disney because of their gay stance. I bet old Walt is spinning in his grave. :( They are a good mission field tho, so is the whole country. We (general) sure are pathetic...we send missionaries all over the world, then they get converted and send missionaries back here...

Norrie Your right I'm sure old Walt is spinning in his grave. His vision and what the park has become are two different things. Walt had a vision to explore what could be accomplished and provide family entertainment. Today the view is the bottom line make as much money as you can and don't worry about the consequences. However I think that is true in most cases. The builders of the our great corporations were looking to build something, today the only view is money and how to get doing the least amount of work. I sure do sign a lot of petitions against companies for immorality, esp. in advertising towards kids. :( It's hard to imagine it getting much worse...how fast things have deteriorated. :(
