Greetings to you all in the name of Jesus. I asked a question (post 98289) regarding the Protestants answer to the question to where do young children/babies go when they die. The response was very good and I would like to thank you all for your posts; The conclusion I have reached is that young children go to HEAVEN and not hell or the place known as limbo/place of happiness. The Westminster Confession of Faith would be the theologians answer. To those who showed that if King David said that he would see his son after death then as David went to Abraham's bosom/Paradi when he died then, as the word of God does not lie, then for David to see his son then his son would be also there. The matter of baptism as a requirement for entrance to heaven is answered when Jesus on the cross, this day you will be with me in Paradise, to the man on the cross beside Him. I can take no credit for these observations, credit is to the writers of the posts. At the begging of my quest I was informed that there where no scriptures on this topic so I must thank the only person that showed me that there is scripture that deals with, and supports my conclusion, where young children/babies go at the time of death. Thanks DAIRYLEADER5, (post 98624), the scripture is Romans Ch.9. v11 (For the children being not yet born, neither having done any good or evil, that the purpose of God according to election might stand, not of works, but of him that calleth;) KJV I hope that you who are of the Protestant persuasion agree with my conclusions and, if not, please let me know. I do not know where young ones go, or those who are mentally challanged, or ... BUT God does ... Just because David said "But now he has died; why should I fast? Can I bring him back again? I will go to him, but he will not return to me." means that it is true. Westminster Confession of Faith, other traditions, trends, theologians and others may not be correct. The Bible does not say David went to Abraham's bosom or Paradise when he died ... nor does it say he went to be with his son who died. IF his son and other young children do not go to Hell ... the next question is at what age to they have to accept Jesus as their Christ and Lord ... and provide Scripture support for the answer. Plus, how do you handle (read the context) - Psa 51:5 "Behold, I was brought forth in iniquity, and in sin my mother conceived me." - Rom 3:23 for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, - Rom 5:12 Therefore, just as through one man sin entered into the world, and death through sin, and so death spread to all men, because all sinned |

Greetings Searcher56. Thank you for you post. A post that I found very exasperating, the post I posted was a conclusion not a begging, I would suggest that you read all the posts mentioned, all the posts on the thread, the Westminster Confession of Faith (10.1 where it relates to the question), the Holy Scriptures and if you want to, the Catholic answer to the question (it can be found on the web) and if after all that research and study you still cannot answer the question that I posed, then I pray that God will show you the answer in a way that you will understand. May I point out that it was our Lord Jesus who called the "place of the dead" Abraham's Bosom, who also gave a description of Hell and as our Lord died HE descended into hell to take the just (who had been waiting for the resurrection) to take them up to Paradise. As both David and his son died (fact!), then they MUST have meet. ALL die because of the sin of Adam/original sin (fact!). The age of accountability is a separate issue, if you are interested there are already 972 posts in the archives on this topic. So, God bless you in your search. SHALOM. RJJ. |

I read the posts and Westminster Confession of Faith, including 10.1 where it relates to the question ... plus other people. Then I checked out what God thru Scripture says. I have cited Scripture that to me disproves the babies go to heaven (or to the Lord). I asked you to explain these passages ... instead you avoid them and go on ... and I will correct you. Correction - Lord Jesus did not call the "place of the dead" Abraham's Bosom ... it was where Lazarus was (Luke 16:23). Correction - The Lord did not Lord died HE descended into hell (Luke 23:46) ... moreover there is no proof He took the just (who had been waiting for the resurrection) to take them up to Paradise Moreover ... While both David and his son died (fact!) ... then they MUST have meet has no logic. His son had not look toward the promised Messiah. I am fully aware that the age of accountability has many posts ... I even ask others to use Quick Search when they ask questions. I don't think it is a separate issue ... how old was the child? Since you only have 71 posts ... I wanted to know when you thought someone had to become a Christian vice go to heaven. |
