Regarding the possibility of the creation of Mankind Gen 1:26 and the special Man of 2:7 If you have a Strongs concordance and a Hebrew lexicon that uses the Strongs numbering system look it up. The Hebrew word #120 adam (aw-dawm) came translate either man or mankind, species or decendants. Depending weather or nor an artlicle is used with it or not determines the usage. With the particle ('eth) and the artlicle it is very emphatic meaning this self, very, this same, this very! In Gen 1:26-27, and several other places it is without the article, possible meaning mankind followed by plural pronoun. In Gen 2:7 twice and 8,15,16,19,22 twice, 3:12, 22,24,. The Pronoun Adam assumes the nature of a proper name, as denoting " the man " as the only of its kind. (page 13 Hebrew Lexicon under Man.#120 Strongs) In Gen 6 it talks about the sons of GOD taking the sons of man. You don't need to say things about angles to make sence of it. The word also talks about some made for honor and some for distruction. Jesus stems from adam the christ-line, also referred to as the life-line. Eve being the mother of all living. I'm not willing to die over it but its worth consideration. TKO |

Hello TKO If we take your scenario to its logical conclusion, there is a problem. Sin (and subsequently death) came through Adam. Therefore, there would have been a group of sinless people still living on the earth (not being descended from Adam). What happened to them since they were not susceptible to death? Something to think about. Steve |

They were wipped out rightfully in the flood. They were totally influenced by the advesary, but they inner-mingled with the sons of God i.e. Adams line, thus the different genes types entered in the wifes of Noahs sons account for all the difference we have today.
4 | The creation and the Gap | Genesis | srbaegon | 48468
Hello TKO That might explain the offspring of the union between the fallen men and innocent men, but not the original innocent men. They would have needed to sin in a manner similar to Adam for them to die. This other fall is never documented. Steve |

6 | The creation and the Gap | Genesis | srbaegon | 48491
Hello TKO Yes, it does. But in your scenario there would have to be another for the group of innocents created apart from Adam. Without that fall, God would have killed innocent people during the flood. Steve |

Adam was the best representative man had, then and now, nobody is considered innocent. Rom 5:19 through one many were made sinners, and through one ( Jesus Christ ) many were made rightous.
8 | The creation and the Gap | Genesis | srbaegon | 48495
Hello TKO But in reading Romans 5, you find Adam considered the head of the human race, not just the representative. All men die because all men sin because they are all born of Adam. This other hypothetical group has not blood relation to Adam until their offspring marry. Steve |

10 | The creation and the Gap | Genesis | srbaegon | 48502
Hello TKO Yes, I agree. But again the giants were the offspring. You still have to explain the death of the original innocent parents that were not part of Adam's fall. Steve Steve |

Gen 6 Read the Darby translation. Before they came together the giants were there, and after. Vrs 1 of Gen 6 says when mankind or men began to multiply on the face of the earth ,daughters were born unto them. Chapt 5 shows the sons of God (Adam's) line. |

12 | The creation and the Gap | Genesis | srbaegon | 48557
Hello TKO Darby's translation -- In those days were the giants on the earth, and also afterwards, when the sons of God had come in to the daughters of men, and they had borne [children] to them; these were the heroes, who of old were men of renown. The grammar of the sentence indicates the giants were a result of the union, not a precedent to the union. Steve |

No the grammer indicates, in those days and afterwards! Also Gen 4:14-17, Why would Cain say everyone that finds him, ( in Nod where the Nomads wandered), kill him ? Because the were already there ! |
