1 | Who is "Lilith" in Isaiah 34:13-15? | Genesis | pls | 38533
What is the deal with "the Lilith" mentioned in Isaiah 34:13-15? I was told that Lilith is Adams 1st wife, and it can be found in older versions of the Bible. In fact Eve is supposed to be his third wife, so if any one can help me please I could use it. Thank you.
2 | Who is "Lilith" in Isaiah 34:13-15? | Genesis | Emmaus | 38545
pls, The Lilith character is from Jewish folklore and is spoken of there as Adam's 1st wife. More than that I do not know. She is not a biblical character.I suspect you might find more info on Jewish websites. Pardon my previous typing and spelling errors. Emmaus |

3 | Who is "Lilith" in Isaiah 34:13-15? | Genesis | Hank | 38548
Emmaus, don't you think Lillith is probably Cain's wife in disguise, and only claims to be Adam's wife in order to throw all of us on the forum off track? Old Lilly must be a shrewd one; she KNOWS we have been looking for Cain's wife for over a year. I believe she is pulling a trick on us posing as Adam's wife and is actually Cain's wife. Whew! I'm glad we finally got that settled. Lillith, a.k.a. Mrs. Cain, welcome to the forum! --Hank
4 | Who is "Lilith" in Isaiah 34:13-15? | Genesis | Emmaus | 38549
Hank, I always suspected you country boys were a little sly and ahead of the the curve and the slicker than the city boys. Lilith must have been a country girl. All this time you have been hiding Cain's wife under a basket while the rest of the forum didn't even know her name. Emmaus |
