2 | Christian man wants to remarry | 1 Corinthians | markisredeemed | 170194
Have faith, Trust God, NOBODY, I mean NOBODY but the Holy Spirit can give you your answer. I am basically in the same place you are except I am believing God for restoration. I was unfaithful to my first wife with my second wife and unfaithfull to her with one of those close friends you describe. There honestly is no such thing as a close friendship between a married man and another woman. To have one is disrespectfull to the covenant we made with our wives before God. Point Blank I wish I had learned that before my second mistake. I can tell you that Love is a decision not a feeling and that God honors our faithfullness to Him and will accept our repentant heart and I can say to you with certainty; put God first then let Him work out your life. I know that it's a hard thing to do at first especially when youre lonely but He has a way of meeting your needs and changing your desires when we put Him first. I am seeing and attending church with my x-wife and I realize that trust once lost is hard to regain, but with God's help, a lot of patience and the renewing of my mind with the Word I will soon have the desire of my heart. You can too, just listen to the Spirit.

Please don't mis-understand, I wasn't using scripture to tell my wife to be submissive, ever. Those scriptures that tell her to be submissive, are from God to her, he wasn't talking to me. He told me to love her like Christ loves the church. I didn't know how to do that before, but I am learning through His teaching. I am taking Doc's advice and have two days done in the Setting Captives Free, the way of purity course, I have already learned alot. God is blessing my efforts, last night my wife agreed to attend counciling with me. She is led by the Spirit, and right now she doesn't believe that she will change her mind. But I am not asking or forcing her to change it, I want only what God wants for our lives, I do happen to believe that He wants us reconciled, but His will be done. Sorry for your situation I pray you are well.

6 | I dont want to divorce. | Bible general Archive 3 | markisredeemed | 157223
I'm sorry I guess I did just tell details: In First Corr 7:10-11 is the command from the Lord in effect in my case. Is there biblical grounds for my wife not to divorce me? Also, in my situation, is she correct to divorce me based on Matt 5:31-32? Why do both of these scriptures seem to only talk about a wife committing adultery as a ground for divorce and not if the husband commits the sin?
7 | I want my wife back | Not Specified | markisredeemed | 157209
First of all, I committed adultery and have since repented completely, I thank God for his forgiveness and restoration. My issue is my wife is divorcing me, and I want to reconcile and to be the Godly husband that God has commanded me to be. When I was in the sin I did not believe that God had a plan for our marriage, but through the word and good teachings at church, I know that God does have a perfect plan for marriage and not only that he has anointed me to be that Godly husband through the Agape love in me. My wife believes because of Matt 5:31-32 that God has given her the choice to stay married to me or not to. She has chosen not to because she says that because God wants for her to be a Godly and submissive wife that this would be too hard for her and then she would be in disobediance to Gods word. I would never want her to be disobediant to God and I know that God has enough grace to help her and I through the mis-trust and fear. I just do not believe that she is standing on the right scriptures in this because everything I know about Jesus is Love, Faith, Forgiveness, and restoration. She also quoted Mark 10:12 that says if a wife divorces her husband and marries another commits adultery as a allowance for a wife to divorce. I know that if the divorce does go through she will not marry again. I also believe that if we do divorce I will not marry again either. I have looked for any other posts with this same situation and can't find any. For now I stand on my confession of faith that my wife will forgive and reconcile me. In God Mark |
