1 | Is the AKJV the true word of God? | Mark 16:18 | malley | 152623
Thank you lionheart! I want to make fellowship a priority as my Heart has always been telling me to. I appreciate your words of encouragement. I will include the scriptures that you mentioned. Many thanks, Malley KJV 2Pe 1:20 Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation. KJV 2Pe 1:21 For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake (as they were) moved by the Holy Ghost. NASV 2Pe 1:20 But know this first of all, that no prophecy of Scripture is (a matter) of one's own interpretation, NASV 2Pe 1:21 for no prophecy was ever made by an act of human will, but men moved by the Holy Spirit spoke from God. KJV 2Ti 3:15 And that from a child thou hast known the holy scriptures, which are able to make thee wise unto salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus. KJV 2Ti 3:16 All scripture (is) given by inspiration of God, and (is) profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: KJV 2Ti 3:17 That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works. NASV 2Ti 3:15 and that from childhood you have known the sacred writings which are able to give you the wisdom that leads to salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus. NASV 2Ti 3:16 All Scripture is inspired by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, for training in righteousness; NASV 2Ti 3:17 so that the man of God may be adequate, equipped for every good work. KJV Col 1:27 To whom God would make known what [is] the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles; which is Christ in you, the hope of glory: KJV Col 1:27 to whom God willed to make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles, which is Christ in you, the hope of glory. |

3 | Is the AKJV the true word of God? | Mark 16:18 | malley | 152597
Thank you for the welcome, Lionhart! I appreciate your scripture references. If you don't mind , I will post the verses here in the NASV and KJV. I hope someday to purchase a parallel Bible using these two versions. I had mentioned in my profile that I was saved in a Fundamentalist Church. I have learned many things new to me in the past while. What is your stand on the KJV bible being the only true Word of God? I am interested in hearing both sides of the issue, now that I know what the Fundamental stand is. I want to be firm in my Faith even if it means lonliness and self-doubt. I am sure that the benefits of Following Jesus far outweigh the discomforts of persecution. Pray for me please. Your sister in Christ. Malley KJV Mat 6:33 But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you. NASV Mat 6:33 "But seek first His kingdom and His righteousness, and all these things will be added to you. KJV Rom 8:28 And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to (his) purpose. NASV Rom 8:28 And we know that God causes all things to work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to (His) purpose. KJV Phl 4:19 But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus. NASV Phl 4:19 And my God will supply all your needs according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus. KJV 2Ti 2:15 Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth. NASV 2Ti 2:15 Be diligent to present yourself approved to God as a workman who does not need to be ashamed, accurately handling the word of truth. KJV 2Ti 3:12 Yea, and all that will live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution. NASV 2Ti 3:12 Indeed, all who desire to live godly in Christ Jesus will be persecuted. |

4 | Biblical, cultural or both? | Mark 16:18 | malley | 152595
Thank you, Searcher! You did help me. Life in this world gets harder when you choose to live Gods' plan. I am always trying to please the people around me, even when it means going against the small voice in my heart, which I hope is Jesus. It is not going to be easy and I fear lonliness and rejection. I pray that my Heart will be open to Jesus and that I will let go of what stands in the way of my serving Him. In Jesus' name. Amen. Best wishes from Malley |

5 | Acts 8:37 omitted in some Bible Versions | Acts 8:37 | malley | 152594
Hi RAF Act 8:37 [And Philip said, "If you believe with all your heart, you may." And he answered and said, "I believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God."] NASV Act 8:37 And Philip said, If thou believest with all thine heart, thou mayest. And he answered and said, I believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God. KJV I am glad that it was not be omitted in the NASV. It seems like a very serious omission. I have been told that the Authorized KJV is the only Bible that Satan has not interfered with. Correct me if I am wrong. Best Wishes from Malley |

6 | Biblical, cultural or both? | Mark 16:18 | malley | 152554
Hi,Doc... Thank you for answering my question and for providing the excellent link! I hope you don't mind if I use this link in my MSN web space. http://spaces.msn.com/members/bjc10/ There is so much confusion out there regarding Christianity! I was riding along at being Fundamental in my beliefs till I came up against fierce opposition from friends and family. I am torn between pleasing those around me and following the biblical Word. For example: Luk 14:26 "If anyone comes to Me, and does not hate his own father and mother and wife and children and brothers and sisters, yes, and even his own life, he cannot be My disciple. Luk 14:27 "Whoever does not carry his own cross and come after Me cannot be My disciple. and: Luk 9:61 Another also said, "I will follow You, Lord; but first permit me to say good-bye to those at home." Luk 9:62 But Jesus said to him, "No one, after putting his hand to the plow and looking back, is fit for the kingdom of God." I know in my heart that it will take great sacrifice on my part. I am so weak and confused right now, but I belong to Jesus and He will never let me go. So, the question is whether to be Biblical or Cultural or a combination of both. I have heard it said that very few will enter the Kingdom of Heaven and I can see why when they must choose to give up their life for Jesus. Thanks again, Malley |

8 | Putting the Lord to the test. | Mark 16:18 | malley | 152523
I was told by person on a prank site that if one could not perform the tasks of Mark 16:18 (picking up serpents and drinking poison and recovering) then they were not a true Christian. This seems like putting the Lord to the test. The person who said this to me posts in a site that mocks Fundamental Christianity. He calls us Cultural Christians. Can anyone tell me what the term Cultural Christian really means or is that a prank term as well? I realize that there is alot of evil on the internet and that one must be very careful.
