1 | Ruth, Naomi | Ruth 1:20 | bannal | 22730
I think you have to ask the question again, "Did Naomi think she was doing the right thing?" I would say she wasn't worried about doing the right thing because she thought God had forsaken her. She acted like alot of us do at times. Read with me.... Ruth 1:20 And she said unto them, Call me not Naomi, call me Mara: for the Almighty hath dealt very bitterly with me. I feel Naomi wanted herself called Mara (which it never says again in this book) because it meant bitterness. She was bitter with God because she thought he had treated her bitterly! The story is not just about being a Love story of humans....it is a Love Story telling of God's love. That, even though you are bitter an feel you have been mistreated, God loves you unconditionally and will raise you up an give you a place in his kingdom! Naomi had a part in the lineage of Jesus Christ.......Oh What love doth the Saviour bestow upon us!! I hope this helps. P.S. You will not feel bitter if you are in the Lord's will! God Bless You. 4 | Where is Plan of Salvation Found? | Isaiah | bannal | 20824
I guess I could use the ones given, or I could go to Romans 6. Starting with verse 23. For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. Then, go to the beginning and tell how sin will bring death and that we cannot continue in it. This also brings us to Jesus dying and having victory over death. Just another idea. |

6 | How do you know you are spiritual dying? | Bible general Archive 1 | bannal | 20821
Are you referring to yourself? If so, maybe you would elaborate a little on what you are trying to find out. Do you feel like you are "dying" spiritually? Are you just wondering? Is this something you feel someone else is experiencing? A little more info would be of much help. |

8 | Who dose not belive in the TERM Trinity? | Bible general Archive 1 | bannal | 20819
Also, I ask a simple question because I read a response of "the oneness" spoken of. Yes Jesus said You(God) and I are one, but look before this in John 17:22: And the glory which thou gavest me I have given them; that they may be one, even as we are one: We should be one?? Does that mean we are the same person?.....no. We are talking about a different kind of one. Study of the "Trinity" will take us to Rome where a certain ruler coined the phrase. I believe alot of people have a problem with the fact that the word, "Trinity" is not in the Bible. Well, neither is "Rapture" but I still believe in it. Another thing to look at in this verse is "gave" why did he have to have it given to Him if he was Him?! Also, look at Matt 28:18 And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth. There is that word "given" again.... In truth, we could argue all day and night until our blessed Savior returns ( ;) you do believe he is returning?) and never agree. What would that profit us? nothing. God Bless you is my prayer, BD |

10 | Did Christ die the "second" death for us | Rev 20:14 | bannal | 18517
palaurin, Jesus Christ overcame the second death! Hell has no power over Him, and he has not went to hell, no will he go to serve a sentence for you and I. Jesus overcame the first death (mortal body dying) and as much as I read in the bible, he will be judging the second death. Two of the same verses Tim brought out in the King James are: Revelation 20:14 And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death. Revelation 21:8 But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death. Jesus did not experience the second death. God Bless! |

11 | RAPTURE! FACT OR FICTION | 1 Cor 15:51 | bannal | 18515
Could not have put it better myself Tim. To ignore these facts is to simply choose to ignore them. People are trying so hard to make sure they do not have to be held accountable for anything. I, for one, believe in the "rapture" and I believe I will be caught up "TO MEET HIM IN THE AIR". I don't know about you, but I'm putting on my flyin' shoes! |

14 | How can Christ return be imminent? | Bible general Archive 1 | bannal | 14624
Good answer Tim. I agree that the imminence is may be a bad choice of words, but there really is no good way to say... "You better be ready because Jesus is coming"! O:-) God Bless, Devan |

15 | How can Christ return be imminent? | Bible general Archive 1 | bannal | 14623
I guess what I need to hear from you is the reason for all the questions. I agree it says Day and Hour. As far as the 1967 Jewish declaration of a nation goes, that could have been accomplished at any time God wanted this to happen. We cannot limit God, period. I am wondering why you are having such trouble with the "imminent" thing. The word "Imminent" is not found in my Bible, KJV, that is a term we, as man or woman, have used. The reason I can say that his return is imminent is because I feel everything has been fulfilled for his coming. He promised to come back...that's good enough for me. There is a verse in the Bible, and I can't think of it off-hand, that says something to the effect of "Don't worry about trivial things". By "Trivial" I do not mean his second coming is not important. What I am trying to say is worrying about whether this person says, imminent, or that person says, procrastinate, the deal is that He said He would come back. Mark 13:32 and 33 says; 32 But of that day and that hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels which are in heaven, neither the Son, but the Father. 33 Take ye heed, watch and pray: for ye know not when the time is. I think we should be paying close attention to the 33rd verse. "Take ye Heed" means; "You better pay attention to this". "Watch and Pray" means; Just what I said in an earlier post, we need to be ready, watching, praying, hoping, working toward his coming. And lastly, "for ye know not when the time is". There is your imminence! You cannot actually tell me when he is coming. You cannot actually tell me if all the prophesies are fulfilled. No man knoweth the day He will come nor the hour he will come. So, it will pay to be ready. "for ye know not when the time is", we just don't know. I think about when I was a child and my mother would put me to bed. I would get up and turn on the light. I knew she was coming, I just didn't know when. So, every noise I heard made it imminent that I cut that light off! Likewise, we do not know when Jesus will return, but it could be today. If that isn't imminent enough for you I don't know what is. God Bless I hope this helps, Devan |

16 | How can Christ return be imminent? | Bible general Archive 1 | bannal | 14615
The Bible says in Matthew 25:13 Watch therefore, for ye know neither the day nor the hour wherein the Son of man cometh. * We don't know when he will return and anyone who says they do will have to take it up with God himself. What we do know is that we should be living and acting as if he were coming this very day. As far as your quetion goes, about Christ's return being imminent, and where to find it... There have been many people who have died waiting for the blessed return of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. The imminence we should feel is on our part! You should live like you will be seeing him in the clouds any moment. Do I believe the prophecies are fulfilled for Jesus' return? YES. If not, I feel they could be completed in very little time...one proclamation from the government could send us all scurrying into the hills! Jesus is Coming! That is all that matters. |

17 | how do I read the Bible | Bible general Archive 1 | bannal | 14555
If you are not accustomed to reading the Bible don't be surprised if you don't find yourself bored at first. Here's how I like to keep the interest.... I would suggest reading about the most exciting thing in the Bible......Jesus! Read the gospels (Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John) and they will tell you more about this man from Galilee. Also, if your Bible has scriptures after the verses, look them up and they will help you tie the whole Bible together. Another thing that helps me is that every time I read the Bible I try to make some notes about what I've just read. Now, this can pile up alot of paper in a little while....I have several notebooks filled and really enjoy going back and reading what I wrote. Sometimes it helps me in what I am facing at that moment. Lastly, but not leastly, I pray before I read. It doesn't have to be the longest, most elegant prayer, but it will help. Most of the time mine goes something like, "Dear Lord, help me to be diligent in my reading, help me to understand what I've read, and apply your principles to my life." I find that God can help you understand His word. God Bless, Devan |

18 | Seven Deadly Sins | Prov 6:16 | bannal | 14552
I believe the main thing we need to look at here is the fact that the Bible does not call it "THE SEVEN DEADLY SINS". That is man's version of what God simply says He hates. I feel these are wrong if put before God and right-living, but as far as deadly.......Jesus gave me Life! Sorry....no death here! |

19 | Is Sex before marriage wrong? | Rom 8:38 | bannal | 14520
Is sex before marraige wrong? YES!!! No doubt about it. If you are practicing this, you are not listening to what Jesus has said. If you are not listening, you are not following! If you are not following, you are lost. I am not trying to beat anyone down, I just feel the Bible is plain on this situation. |
