4 Rev 2:17 additional question Rev 2:17 Summerwind 15698
I agree with the others and add that the 144,000 witnesses, from the twelve tribes, are set apart to be empowered by the Holy Spirit (Joel 2:28-32a) witnessing like the Apostle Paul or the Apostle Peter. Again, all 144,000 are composed form each tribe of the children of Israel. There will not be a gentile among them. If someone claims to be one of the 144,000, ask, "which tribe?"
Hope that adds, In Christ
5 White Stone - Rev 2:17 Rev 2:17 Summerwind 15697
Hey MstrdSeed.White in the bible refers to the righteousness of God.Not many bible comentators agree on this subject but have a basic tone of agreement- that of assurance. It seems that in ancient times a white stone meant aquittal. For example, if a man had been tried by court, the jurors published their case by laying down a white stone, signifying that they were aquitting him of his crime. This would certainly be in accord with many other passages of Scripture that indicate that Christ has given aquittal to the child of God who has called on Him for forgiveness and salvation. Romans 5:1 "justified through faith." The big difference, of course, is that we are guilty. Christ died guiltless and therefore we receive the white stone of aquittal with a name for Christ on it that is yet unkown to us. ...an eternal aquittal we gain through faith in the Lord Jesus Christ.( Tim Lahaye's Revelation Unveiled )
Just another Look.
In Christ, your brother
6 Should we call gov;t leaders' sin sin? Luke 3:19 Summerwind 15694
koinekid. Here's a personal extra for what it's worth. I agree with what glory777 wrote and want to add something else. Again, It is exremely important to pray for those who have been appointed over us. Wouldn't it be awesome, or isn't it great, to be able to vote for true Christian's in office at any level. In Tim Layahe's book, Mind Seige, he deals with exact issue. He urges us as Christians to get involved ourselves and or vote according to how God leads you. His book deals with restoring our counrty back to it's moral Christian values instead of a country that excludes God. Even based on that, the Holy Spirit should prompt us to get involved ( as hard as it may be ).
In Christ and prayer for your continued e-mail debate
