Calm down Tiger! I notice you take the defensive on things rather quickly. I suppose that is good. It keeps people on their toes. I was AGREEING with you on you comment/question:"This is not what they do in the Islam religion? They believe and confess that they believe in God does that mean that they are saved?" I was stating a fact that they SAY they believe in God but in fact they are worshiping Ala the moon god. So no, they are not saved. And to calm your nerves, no, the Jews are not saved either. Only those who confess Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior are saved. No Jesus, No salvation. May God grant you peace and Joy this Christmas and your whole life thru. SgtMac |

Dear John, No, I'm not breaking up with you.("Dear John") Anyway. I suppose I worded my statement incorrectly. You are correct. Eternal life is a GIFT not a REWARD. But the jist of my statement is true. As I see it. God Bless. SgtMac |

The Islam worship Ala. The moon god. They do not worship the God of Moses. Look it up. So no, they are not saved. |

5 | Why so many destined for Hell? | 1 Pet 2:8 | SgtMac | 70301
Love is not love if a person is forced to do it. Therefore God gave us a free will. If the reward for love and accepting God's love is eternal life in heaven, then there has to be an opposite result of not accepting it. Hence there is Hell. Satan rules in hell, (on earth too. Rule of earth was given to Adam, he in turn gave it to Satan.) Satan revolted, God threw him in hell and now God uses hell and Satan for His will. So all have a choice to love and accept God's Love by accepting Jesus Christ. God wanted beings that would be able to choose. He had beings that loved Him, the angels. They HAVE to Love Him. When Satan revolted he was instantly cursed without the option of forgiveness because he was not given the right to choose. God is slow to judge. He will give us EVERY opportunity to repent and accept Jesus and His salvation. Up to the last minute. Up to the last days, then, JUDGEMENT! No more chances. He wants us to live with him in Heaven for eternity, but only those that want to be there with him. Everyone gets a chance to make a choice and God is sovern to respect that choice. If a person chooses not to accept Jesus and his salvation, thus choosing eternal damnation, that is their choice and God will honor that. So all in Hell, and destined for eternal damnation are there, or will be, by their own choice and are there to stay. (Their choice.) On the same note, all in heaven, and all destined for heaven, are their by their choice. Just by the sheer grace (Eph 2:8) of God, and by accepting that grace and salvation thru Jesus Christ. This is just my understanding of the situation. I hope it helps. God Bless and Merry CHRISTmas! :-) |

6 | Divorce based on lack of support? | Not Specified | SgtMac | 69707
I have a friend who is in the middle of a divorce. They are both Christians. He is involved with a business venture that takes a lot of his time. She does not believe that it will work and has stated so in several, some heated, arguments. He believes that God has called him to be in this business. (He believes VERY strongly.) Therefore, he says, since she doesn't believe in what he is doing, that they are "un-equally yoked" and that he can divorce her. He feels that he has the biblical right to divorce. Does he have any ground to stand on. Biblically the wife should support the husband. He has final say.

8 | Scriptures for the birth of Jesus | Not Specified | SgtMac | 66754
I know this is a simple find if I do some research, but what are the scriptures that tell the "Christmas story" or relate about the birth of Jesus. I am starting a tradition with my little ones of reading about the birth of Jesus from the Bible on Christmas Eve before bed.

10 | john4:30 | Matt 9:37 | SgtMac | 64850
In reading the passage it appears to me to say that we ARE to Harvest the field. WE just didn't have to plant the seed. As you said, He did the sowing for us. It is just our job to reap the harvest. God provides the seed and the work of planting and growing. We just need to get to work and harvest the results of HIS work. God provides food for even the birds of the sky but he doesn't drop it in their nests. They still have to work to gather it. God wants us to work. Matt 9:37-38. |

1 Cor 14:34-35 I found this while reading about speaking in tounges. I know of very few churches who follow this. If we believe the bible and everything in it how do we deal with this? Either a person believes the bible or they don't. You can't just believe/follow the parts you like. Any comments?
