Bible Question:
Reading John4:35-38 I have a couple of questions, When Jesus is speaking about the "harvest" I believe that he meant that they didn't have to harvest the fields, for again he was there for them, showing then to have faith in him,and he will be there. They can reap from the seeds they didn't sow. also We learned that's how Jesus works for us. He sowed the seeds and we reaps |
Bible Answer: In reading the passage it appears to me to say that we ARE to Harvest the field. WE just didn't have to plant the seed. As you said, He did the sowing for us. It is just our job to reap the harvest. God provides the seed and the work of planting and growing. We just need to get to work and harvest the results of HIS work. God provides food for even the birds of the sky but he doesn't drop it in their nests. They still have to work to gather it. God wants us to work. Matt 9:37-38. |
