1 | death/loss- particualr scrptures? | 2 Tim 1:7 | JulesP3 | 41453
This may seem odd but Ps 23,4-6 4 first came to mind: Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, [1] I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me. 5 You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies. You anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows. 6 Surely goodness and love will follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever. While this may seem odd, I think that at the times in our lives when we loose a loved one, no matter how we have lost them, we are open to spiritual attacks from Satan. Our emotions can at times take control and drive to thoughts and actions we might normally have. It can truly seem as if we are walking through a dark, dismal valley with no hope of escape or even strength to get us through. It is at these moments when GOD wants us remember that HE is there. HE is not coming. HE is already there...making HIMSELF available to us. That is when we remember we are HIS child and HIS SPIRIT is the staff that keeps Satan at bay. This realization of HIS presence starts to fill us in ways we did not expect and in ways that shock others because of the HIS peace that flows from within us. As a start... I hope this helps. |

2 | What scriptures address overcoming fear? | 2 Tim 1:7 | JulesP3 | 41445
2 Timothy 1:7 For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind. Romans 8:31 What, then, shall we say in response to this? If God is for us, who can be against us? I hope this helps. |

3 | His Spirit or Moses'? | Ps 106:33 | JulesP3 | 41440
I am grateful for this clarifiation that you have expressed. There was no intent to defame or mislead but only to express an opinion or an experience. I therefore offer my apology to all I have affected. Having said this, I therefore, return to the question to which I responded. After further review of several versions including those I mentioned earlier (which refer to His Spirit and not Moses' sprit) and those in other non-english languages, there is a clear difference in translation, meaning the Amplified version does not stand alone in its translation of this verse. I recognize my lack of patience in responding to this question and hope the initiator is lead to the answer that will further his relationship with Christ. I hope this helps. |

6 | Judas betraying Jesus? | Matt 26:1 | JulesP3 | 41433
Matthew 26:23-25 23Jesus replied, "The one who has dipped his hand into the bowl with me will betray me. 24The Son of Man will go just as it is written about him. But woe to that man who betrays the Son of Man! It would be better for him if he had not been born." 25Then Judas, the one who would betray him, said, "Surely not I, Rabbi?" Jesus answered, "Yes, it is you." Based on this verse, I understand that Jesus knew that Judas would betray him in advance. One note, for Jesus to cause prophecy to be fulfilled, Jesus would be no better than con man. John 14 1 Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me. 2 In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. 3 And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also. 4 And whither I go ye know, and the way ye know. 5 Thomas saith unto him, Lord, we know not whither thou goest; and how can we know the way? 6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. 7 If ye had known me, ye should have known my Father also: and from henceforth ye know him, and have seen him. 8 Philip saith unto him, Lord, shew us the Father, and it sufficeth us. 9 Jesus saith unto him, Have I been so long time with you, and yet hast thou not known me, Philip? he that hath seen me hath seen the Father; and how sayest thou then, Shew us the Father? 10 Believest thou not that I am in the Father, and the Father in me? the words that I speak unto you I speak not of myself: but the Father that dwelleth in me, he doeth the works. 11 Believe me that I am in the Father, and the Father in me: or else believe me for the very works' sake. Based on the verses in John, I understand Jesus to be equal with GOD therefore Jesus knew all along what would happen and not little by little. I hope this helps. |

9 | What are the names of Jesus' sisters. | Bible general Archive 1 | JulesP3 | 41415
To my knowledge, the Bible makes no reference as whether Jesus Christ had sisters. Given this, as far as I am concerned, this cannot be known through the Bible. I hope this helps. |

10 | Romans 8:18-27,31-34 | Rom 8:26 | JulesP3 | 41413
Rom 8, 26-27:"26 In the same way, the Spirit helps us in our weakness. We do not know what we ought to pray for, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us with groans that words cannot express. 27 And he who searches our hearts knows the mind of the Spirit, because the Spirit intercedes for the saints in accordance with God's will. " NIV I use these verses a great deal when I cannot find the words to express to GOD. I ask the Spirit to read my heart and express what I cannot to GOD. Sometimes I simply say the name of Jesus over and over again since I know in this name, HIS name, I can bodly approach GOD with my needs, my thanks and my praises to HIM. I hope this helps. |

11 | If u r saved, can u become not saved? | Rom 7:1 | JulesP3 | 41411
Your question is a good one and one that many ask. Here is my understanding from Rom7,7-Rom 8-14 and Mat 12,31: Paul helps us to understand that we will struggle with sin but through Jesus we have forgiveness. Jesus indicates the one sin that "...will not be forgiven...". It seems to me that if I am using every opportunity to live for Christ and be an example of how Christ lived and I make a mistake and I approach GOD through Christ, I will be forgiven and GOD forgets my sin. Following this thinking, I would never want to com close to committing a sin that could not be forgiven. So what I am saying it this: While the question is a good one, for the Christian this should not be a fear or a concern. However, Paul does say in Rom 8, 13, "For if you live according to the sinful nature, you will die;...". What I understand from Paul is that if we continue to live outside of Christ, being unsaved alive is not the issue, we will die outside of Christ...which I personally think is the ultimate of being unsaved. I hope this helps. |

12 | how did Joseph keep his body pure? | Gen 39:1 | JulesP3 | 41405
Gen 39, 6-12 6 So he left in Joseph's care everything he had; with Joseph in charge, he did not concern himself with anything except the food he ate. Now Joseph was well-built and handsome, 7 and after a while his master's wife took notice of Joseph and said, "Come to bed with me!" 8 But he refused. "With me in charge," he told her, "my master does not concern himself with anything in the house; everything he owns he has entrusted to my care. 9 No one is greater in this house than I am. My master has withheld nothing from me except you, because you are his wife. How then could I do such a wicked thing and sin against God?" 10 And though she spoke to Joseph day after day, he refused to go to bed with her or even be with her. 11 One day he went into the house to attend to his duties, and none of the household servants was inside. 12 She caught him by his cloak and said, "Come to bed with me!" But he left his cloak in her hand and ran out of the house. I hope this helps. |

13 | His Spirit or Moses'? | Ps 106:33 | JulesP3 | 41401
My experience Bible translations has lead me to understand that the Amplified Bible and the Living Bible are not translations in the strict sense of the work. As I have learned, for well-intended reaons, these versions express the perspective of an individual paraphraser (vs. translator). The Living Bible, as I recall, was written for adolescents (actually I think for their child I think), making the Bible easier to read to get past the "thees and thous" and directly to what GOD's message is. Versions such as NIV, NASB and NKJ are translations in the strict sense of the word and do not carry the perspective of an individual but the detailed examination of the words, terms and grammatical elements by those considered to be experts in the field of translation and interpretation of the Deas Sea Scrolls and other accept ancient and bibilcal text. Not coincidenally, all of the aforementioned translation I mentioned agree on the definition of His Spirit while the Amplified has a different prespective. I hope this helps. |

14 | What are the 10 commandments? | Ex 34:28 | JulesP3 | 41397
The 10 commandments are a subset of a comprehensive set of rules GOD established for Israel so that they would know how to not only please GOD but live under HIS protection and gudance. As for how are they translated, I do not know if you mean "How were they ttanslaed?" or "How are they to be understood?". Personally, I accept them as they are written. Jesus took the commandments and not only confirmed them but also showed that while the commandments do represent GOD's rules for HIS people, a new period is coming where GOD's spirit will reside within us and carry GOD's rules in our hearts. To use Paul's words, the commandments did a great job of showing us where we fail or fall but through JESUS we have "...no condemnation..." through the blood of Jesus. |

15 | What is Jesus saying? | Matt 15:26 | JulesP3 | 41396
I understand the verse to mean that it is not good to take that which meets the needs of those precious to GOD and discard it as unimportant or give it lightly to those that have no appreciation for its long term value.
