None, there are no other gods, only God is God. However mankind sets up "gods" or idols, look at all the false so-called gods Egypt had! Secondly, looking at the word jealous, well it means taken from the dictionary at dictionary dot com: 1. feeling resentment against someone because of that person's rivalry, success, or advantages (often fol. by of): He was jealous of his rich brother. 2. feeling resentment because of another's success, advantage, etc. (often fol. by of): He was jealous of his brother's wealth. 3. characterized by or proceeding from suspicious fears or envious resentment: a jealous rage; jealous intrigues. 4. inclined to or troubled by suspicions or fears of rivalry, unfaithfulness, etc., as in love or aims: a jealous husband. 5. solicitous or vigilant in maintaining or guarding something: The American people are jealous of their freedom. 6. Bible. intolerant of unfaithfulness or rivalry: The Lord is a jealous God. There the last one mentions that particular scripture, well it is throughout the Bible but the first mention is in Exodus 20:5 (I read the NKJV mainly). We can be unfaithful and it hurts Him. Also guarding and vigilant as seen with No 5. God is awesome, so awesome He sent His son to be sacrificed for our redemption, Jesus rose again and is our Lord and Saviour. That is how much God cares for us, amen! God bless you, Helen |

2 | Healing through prayer? | James 5:14 | Helen loves Jesus | 208286
I agree with EdB, God does thing His way for a perfect reason, His ways are not our ways. He does not want to see a person suffer but because of the world and such people do. I am sick, physically disabled I am worse than ever. I thought I lacked faith but in the end I did not, I blamed God and it was not His fault. I was at a thriving church with many miracles. When I let that anger go things started to change. My disability no, my attitude yes. Scripture: 2 Corinthians 12:8-10 "8Concerning this I implored the Lord three times that it might leave me. 9And He has said to me, "My grace is sufficient for you, for power is perfected in weakness " Most gladly, therefore, I will rather boast about my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may dwell in me. 10Therefore I am well content with weaknesses, with insults, with distresses, with persecutions, with difficulties, for Christ's sake; for when I am weak, then I am strong" For a headache I would take a tablet as it is not a major deal, not like the illnesses cured in the Bible and people raised from the dead. Not that the Lord considers the same as we do, I just think a cold or headache is a small thing. I have faith, one day I will be healed. His will not ours. God bless, Helen |

3 | Should everyone speak in tongues? | 1 Cor 12:10 | Helen loves Jesus | 208284
I have been to churches that do not then churches that do. Tongues are for Prophecy and a sign to unbelievers and to help us pray. Do not worry if it is ok or not, ask the Lord and He will answer but remember this: 1 Corinthians 13:1 [AMP] IF I [can] speak in the tongues of men and [even] of angels, but have not love (that reasoning, intentional, spiritual devotion such as is inspired by God's love for and in us), I am only a noisy gong or a clanging cymbal. We need to have love or else everything else is futile and fruitless. God bless Helen |
