1 Where is decorating trees for pagan? Not Specified AKG-pa 225419
I was wondering where in scripture it talks about pagans decorating trees for pagan worship. I must have missed that part during my readings of the Old Testament. What would that have to do with decorating a tree now for the celebration and honoring of the birth of our Lord Jesus Christ? It seems to me that whatever a man does to honor God would be a good thing. I"m not too off base here, am I?

3 Is plygamy right in God's eyes? Not Specified AKG-pa 222424
A man who lived as a polygamist and then decided that God did not want him to live that way still believes polygamy is right in God's eyes. He and his family joined our fellowship through deceit. That's another story. He says that 1st Timothy 3;2 and 12 are translated wrong. That originally it was translated to read that the man was to still be married to his first wife, signifying that if he had more than one wife he must still be married to the original. This doesn't seem right to me, is it? Besides, if our Maker wanted us to have multiple wives, why did He make only Eve? Thank you and God Bless

5 Was Luke an Apostle? Not Specified AKG-pa 222212
If one of the requirements to be included in the Gospels was to have been an Apostle, How did Luke make it? I was told he was a doctor.

7 Who was John referring to? Not Specified AKG-pa 221955
In Bible study last night we discussed 1st John,1;1-10. We were told that John was talking about a group of believers who believed that Jesus was here only in spirit and not in flesh. Forgive me for not remembering what he called these people, but one commentary I read called them Secessionists. My question is, was John writing to a specific group of people who did not believe Jesus was here in the flesh or ones who believed they never sinned? I am a Christian and strive to walk in the light everyday. But anyone who claims they have not sinned or don't believe Jesus was here in the flesh, to me anyway, is lost. I'm a little confused about these versus. A little enlightenment would be appreciated. Thank You and God Bless you for being here for folks like me. Barry
