Hi Doc, Words to comtemplate "church tradition." Renaldo is not offering "gospel" any more than our esteemed scholars of old. He is just offering perhaps a fresh view of the scene in question. When it comes right down to it, we won't know many of these things for sure till our Lord tells us in person. Yes, the Holy Spirit does give revelation to us today, but He still has to deal with our feeble human brains. I bet the old scholars had to fight through a lot of opposition too, for their views at the time were probably contrary to "church tradition" of the time. blessings cheri |

764 | Tribulation---7 years long? | Dan 12:11 | skccab | 186880
I've always thought they would be Elijah and Enoch - reason? The Bible says it is appointed to man to die once - these two were caught away from earth alive, they never died. And the only thing we know for sure about the 2 is that they are live, marked by God and appointed by God to preach for a certain length of time And then they will be killed, left alone dead and then raised from the dead and caught away again. But my idea of them being Elijah and Enoch is definitely in the minority, most do think Elijah and Moses, cause of the Transfiguration. blessings cheri |

and a wonderful day to you Searcher, I was responding to the great response of Kalos How reliable is the Kingdom Linear. If I'd been a JW wavering I would have been convinced to at least do further searching on my beliefs. It was very persuasive. I'm still new here and mess up the thread line sometimes, but I think I'm getting batter. Please bear with me, I will learn eventually! blessings cheri |

771 | Can one who commits suicide be saved? | Ex 20:13 | skccab | 186718
HeirofGod, Here is the scripture that describes the unforgiveable sin, and it is not suicide: Mat 12:31 Wherefore I say unto you, All manner of sin and blasphemy shall be forgiven unto men: but the blasphemy against the Holy Ghost shall not be forgiven unto men. Mat 12:32 And whosoever speaketh a word against the Son of man, it shall be forgiven him: but whosoever speaketh against the Holy Ghost, it shall not be forgiven him, neither in this world, neither in the world to come. cheri |

773 | were does it | Revelation | skccab | 186704
Hi John, I just knew someone would come along and explain it better than I could. I'm still at the place where I can say without equivocation that "the Bible says in ..." but chapter and verse elude me. So now I know the Church is raptured somewhere within Rev. 3:11-14. Thank you, brother. love cheri |

Isn't that why Satan is loosed for a season after the (or right at the end of) the millenial period? To deceive whom he can. Obviously he cannot deceive those saints who return with Christ, and it would probably be very difficult to deceive the survivors (tho i guess not impossible), but he would find it easy to deceive those born during the milleniel period. And God gave man a free will to make a decision -and up to the point of loosing the devil for a season, those born during that period have never been given a chance to make a choice. Have I strayed too far off the bat? love cheri |

Yes, I agree. And that's why I wondered about the healing of the nations. When I think about it right now -- How can nations be healed? In that time period anyway, how and of what are they healed? At this point in the future scenario it seems everyone is saved. As I understand it, there will be those who are alive in their natural bodies at this time (those that got saved during the tribulation and lived to see Christ come with His saints), and more people will be born to these survivors. Could it be nations created by these people born to the tribulation survivors that may need healing? Any thoughts? love cheri |
