62 | Why God's RIGHT Hand ? | Col 3:1 | Ken John | 116923
Thanks Me for your observations. Right hand versus left hand is an interesting thought but I agree right hand, as Suede67 says, is a symbolic of power and authority. Like right hand man is taken as the second in charge here on earth. Of course with God it is different as Father, Son and Holy Spirit are ONE. In Christ, Ken |

63 | wine and acohol | 1 Tim 5:23 | Ken John | 111583
Greetings brother, I found your comments very interesting because this question of whether Jesus drank wine in the alcoholic state is one which I have researched for an explanation also. As you know alcohol has a good purpose as is everything that our Almighty God has created. Of course man comes along and abuses what he has been given. One can continue on this line for most thing on the globe. In the case of Jesus making wine at the wedding feast, I cannot envisage our Lord creating something that would harm those drinking it. However, whether it was grape juice or not only He can give us an answer. I will continue to research nevertheless. Blessings, Ken John |

64 | 2Tim 2:15 Study dispensationally? | 2 Timothy | Ken John | 109011
Hi Steve, you make a valid point and one which I have battled with until recently when asking myself what does "rightly dividing the word of truth" really mean. Also why does Paul write of dispensation in Ephesians 3:2 and in Col 1:26 of ages. So does rightly dividing Gods Word mean we must place things in the right context taking into account different ages and dispensations? I have since read that many are studying Scripture this way and I find it makes good sense. I hope I have expressed myself clearly but would be interested in your opinion too. Thanks, KJ.
65 | 2Tim 2:15 Study dispensationally? | 2 Timothy | Ken John | 109013
Hi brother, "dispensation" means administration(of a household) (KJV) stewardship. In Greek the word is oikonomia. In simple terms, dispensation means household management. So we should be studying Scripture in God's Household of faith as He dispenses His Will. In Christ, KJ |

66 | 2Tim 2:15 Study dispensationally? | 2 Timothy | Ken John | 109017
Thanks brother, what you say is true and I have been praying a great deal for God's Guidance in the matter of studying His Holy Word. As you know there are many teachers who profess to know what is right and what is wrong so one needs to seek guidance from God. The bible is not easy to understand and is a very misunderstood book. The more I read it, the more I understand and prayer is essential at all times. In Christ, KJ.
67 | 2Tim 2:15 Study dispensationally? | 2 Timothy | Ken John | 109019
Mrs B, thanks for your encouragement as I believe that many are studying Scripture by lucky dipping and have wasted hours of valuable time. Always with prayer we need to study the bible correctly and intelligently as we are instructed by Paul. In Christ, KJ |

Thank you Makarios for your guidance. You will appreciate that I love God's Word and want to learn all I can at three score and ten. Having worked hard for many years to provide for my family I did not have much free time to study. Now that I have retired I want to make up for lost ground so thank you for helping me. Blessings, KJ |

69 | Why are there disagreements... | 2 Tim 2:15 | Ken John | 110065
Greetings Hank, Thanks for an excellent response to this subject. Every day I read my KJV I realise how lacking in knowledge I am concerning God's Word. This is an area that so many "church going" Christians neglect. Bible studies today seem to be an opportunity of socialising rather than getting one's teeth into Scripture. Whenever serious questions are asked in our studies, I am told to keep to the subject which was, at that time, how to "love my neighbour" and lead a better life. To me there is only one life and that is "in Christ" and He will teach one to love others. George Muller is a favourite of mine so thanks for the excerpt from his works. In Christ, Ken John. |

Thanks mommapbs I read all that was said and agree with some of the comments made. I find that reference to so many version is irritating but new believers seem to like this style. To me the KJV and ASV are the only ones for serious study with the NIV ocassionally. Our church is busy with using this book at bible study and our pastor uses it in his sermons. I feel he has found an easy way of covering Sundays and needs to get back to Gods Word. I have returned to Study Bible Forum again because I feel you guys can teach me something even at my age and I am hungry for learning as much as I can. Bless you all, KJ |

Greetings mommapbs, you can read my personal profile if it be your desire. I don't understand how it will help you as I am a rotten sinner and constantly pray to Jesus for more Grace. You see I too have my thorn in the flesh. In Christ, KJ.

74 | Should We Get Married Again? | Heb 13:4 | Ken John | 55628
Hello AB, I have been following your question about marriage and agree with what Tim has advised you. It is difficult to resolve these matters oneself with out placing EVERYTHING in God's Hands. Remember He is in control of all things and even Jesus asked His Father in Heaven when He needed help. I have been married for forty years but only because I placed my one time troubled marriage in Jesus' Care. I forgave my wife for her unfaithfulness because as a sinner myself how could I caste stones. As believers in Jesus Christ we have to set the example. It can be very tough as I have experienced over the many years of married life but in the end you will be rewarded. Please read 1 Corinthians 7:1-39 where Paul writes about marriage. I was particularly interested in verses 13-17. I hope this will be a help to you. AB please let Jesus handle your problem. Pray to him in earnest and keep asking Him for His help. Don't try to solve things yourself. Take each day at a time and PRAY. God answers prayer but in His Time so be patient. May God Bless you AB and please keep in touch with the brothers and sisters in Christ who want to help you as best we can through Jesus. In His Love, Ken John. |
