961 | You need baptism of the Holy Ghost! | Acts 19:2 | skccab | 202404
Good morning True, Shalom Welcome to the Forum! The 3 posters that you have responded to have not posted on this forum since 11/03, 7/01/ and 3/04. It's very likely that you will not get a reply from them. The way to tell the date of the note is to scroll to bottom of page and look for the yellow highlighting, if you then look to the right of that you'll see the poster and the date, if you click on the poster's name, you can see the date of his/her last post. That will give you an indication of whether or not your reply will be received and acknowledged. :-) Don't worry, every one of us has answered a few very very elderly questions. Just part of being new and learning your way around!! I hope you will stay around and study with us. It's not required, but it would be nice if you would tell us a little bit about yourself in your profile? Cheri |

962 | Is demonic possession relevant today? | Acts 19:13 | skccab | 193657
Jesusfreak, Right off the bat, I can't think of exactly where, but in the book of Acts, there was the girl that kept harassing Peter and his companion. They cast the demon out of her and her owners got angry cos she was their money-maker? Cheri |

963 | Is demonic possession relevant today? | Acts 19:13 | skccab | 193658
Michael, I answered your question to the wrong person. I think there is an instance in the Book of Acts having to do with a slave-girl. Cheri |

964 | who was Jesus talking about | Acts 19:15 | skccab | 210850
Good evening jchelve I'm sure john will see your question and answer you, but I'll give you my opinion. Messiah was speaking to those who had been just playing a game (and there are many of those around today!!). They crave the notoriety, the money, the esteem, etc that comes from performing miracles and healings. They actually manage to convince themselves, as well as many others, that they are truly born-again believers, but they have never really surrendered their lives to the Lordship of Messiah. How do you think that they practice lawlessness? Later in ch. 24 vs. 34-46 will give you better enlightenment on what it means to practice Torah, to live as a redeemed child of God, or to practice "lawlessness." Shalom Cheri P.S. In the future, if you want to answer a post/note of a specific person, just click on that person's post and then you can reply and an email will be sent to that person, and that also keeps the home page free. Welcome to the SBF!!!! |

965 | who was Jesus talking about | Acts 19:15 | skccab | 210853
Jchelve The Word worked (and always will) when it falls on ears that hear and believe and act on it. The miracles and healings happened, not because the person preaching believed and was saved, but because the person hearing and in need believed and got saved or already was. God will always honor His word/promises. Cheri |

Jchelve I'm sorry, I neglected to supply a supporting scripture for the previous post, so see Rom. 10:17. Cheri |

Jchelve Has what they prophesied come to pass? Are you asking these questions because of personal involvement with someone today? Cos there is no way you could know what those in Mt. 7:22 may have said.... Lev. 19:31 :o) Cheri |

Shalom Jchelve Studying our God's word is a joy. While we help others to understand, we also learn and understand. We are all teachers and students at the same time. Cheri |

969 | God will write it on their hearts | Acts 20:32 | skccab | 192911
God's morning to ya! Could these be the verses you were looking for? Jer 31:32 not like the covenant which I made with their fathers in the day I took them by the hand to bring them out of the land of Egypt, My covenant which they broke, although I was a husband to them," declares the LORD. Jer 31:33 "But this is the covenant which I will make with the house of Israel after those days," declares the LORD, "I will put My law within them and on their heart I will write it; and I will be their God, and they shall be My people. Jer 31:34 "They will not teach again, each man his neighbor and each man his brother, saying, 'Know the LORD,' for they will all know Me, from the least of them to the greatest of them," declares the LORD, "for I will forgive their iniquity, and their sin I will remember no more." 970 | salvation for unbelievers? | Rom 1:20 | skccab | 212489
Hank, Gosh, I stand among some fine company!! I agree wholeheartedly with peterson, WOS, justme and Gye (and all the others who thank God daily for you). We are sooooo blessed to have a such a brother as you. John, the Beloved Disciple, referred to such as you in 1 Jn. 2:13a, and 2:14a as "fathers". How very blessed we "young men" and "little children" are to be able to call you brother, and, spiritually, sit at your feet, learn from your wisdom and hear your heart. Cheri |

971 | do unbelievers go to Heaven? | Rom 1:20 | skccab | 212698
Thuggish, For such an authoritive answer as "Of course they go to heaven!" we sure do need Bible book, chapter, and verse to back up your statement, please. I've read the Bible through many times - but somehow I missed that one. Thanking you in advance. Cheri |

972 | Difference between guilt and conviction? | Rom 2:14 | skccab | 211210
Shalom EQ1, We are learning (I would hope) to not take our Bibles and hit people over the head with it :o) Tho we have all done that in the past, I'm sure, at one time or another. Romans 8:1 There is therefore, now no condemnatin ... If what you are hearing brings condemnation and hopelessness it is not from your loving Father. He is not the One who condemns, He forgives, binds up the wounds and heals. If what you're hearing tells you something is not quite right but here's how to fix it, then that would be the Holy Spirit that dwells in you, for He is there as your Guide and Comforter. John 14:16-18, 16:8-11 and 13-15, actually all of John chapters 14 thru 17 would be good reading on the subject of condemnation and conviction. Cheri Cheri |

974 | Thank you to all | Rom 5:3 | skccab | 208898
Shalom y’all, It took 9 days, but I’m back!! They finally kicked me out!! I just want to thank each and every one of you for your prayers and thoughts. I’ve never known what it is like to have such a family throughout the world. I can say, it’s nice. There were times when I would be having a terrible time breathing and getting scared, and I’d feel the hand of prayer on me and God’s shalom so heavy it was tangible. I appreciated the phone calls, it was so nice to be talking to people all the way across the world and in just the next city. It was wonderful and comforting. I pray I can some day return the comfort. Once again, thank you so much. Cheri |

975 | Thank you to all | Rom 5:3 | skccab | 208905
Shalom sister, Thank you soooo much. Without my brothers and sisters, well, I just don't want to think about what it would have been like!! I've never been sick like that before. But I've found out it's gonna take more 'n' the devil's mischievious chuckle to get this King's kid down :-) We all got a great big Family right here on SBF that knows how to LOVE and PRAY!! I really did perceive the prayers and love. Thank you, Azure, and everyone. Cheri |

976 | Romans 5:6-8 how it shows Gods love | Rom 5:6 | skccab | 194089
Hello Imar, What Makarios and Brad said is absolutely correct. God's love is indeed unconditional - it's His blessings (aside from those that fall on all men) that are conditional. The joy unspeakable, the peace that passes all understanding, the confidence that He is in control, the knowledge that the work He has begun in us He will finish, a family of some of the dearest people you'd ever want to know (many right here on this forum) - these (and others) are conditioned upon our remaining in His word and will. I think that's what canawedding in her convoluted way was trying to point out (though I'm not sure :-) ). Shalom Cheri |

977 | Romans 5:6-8 how it shows Gods love | Rom 5:6 | skccab | 194141
Dear Canawedding, The poster I responded to asked a simple question about God's love. I gave him a simple answer, not a long discourse meant to confuse. He did not ask about getting saved, or any of the things you presumed he needed to know. Had he asked, I could certainly have answered. It is not our job here on the forum to make assumptions about people and their standing with God, unless it's to believe that they ARE born again and found their way here to learn more about Yeshua. (And if the poster was not born-again, he definitely found his way to the right place! The ones who've been a part of this forum for many months and years are so full of love and joy - they'd certainly make me want to be a part of their family, the family of God!) Shabbat shalom Cheri |

978 | Romans 5:6-8 how it shows Gods love | Rom 5:6 | skccab | 194168
Canawedding Lionheart gave you a very good answer. I have not answered your question, because I was corresponding with someone else when you took it upon yourself to decide I needed chiding and "salvation" and I don't appreciate being talked down to. I have been born-again probably longer than you've been alive, but my salvation is between me and Abba. It is not your concern, so please don't be distressed over it. God's love is totally unconditional. He'll love you and rejoice as you obey Him and He'll love you and grieve as you make your way to hell. But He'll love you. If that's not true then apparently we've all been deceived into believing that He sent His Son to die for us while we were yet sinners (for we sure were not "seeking" to find anything at that point). Please, do you utmost to restore peace to this forum. It would be much appreciated. Remember Who your Sar Shalom is Cheri |

Canawedding I am not against "you" either, but I am against being talked down to and having you talk down to my friends, and your making assumptions about any of us. The folks who are "regulars" here on this forum could possibly teach you more in 1hr than you've learned in a lifetime. We all may not always agree on all points of theology and doctrine but we ALWAYS agree on one thing - Yeshua is our Savior and we are family. And family members that are mature treat each other with respect. The people here are born-again, Spirit-filled, joyful servants of our Master. I can hear their joy in their words. I don't hear that in your words. I actually hear anger and that's sad. I am praying for you. Neither Hank nor I have done anything to warrant your attack on us. Please, before you respond, pray about it. Shalom Cheri |
