882 | third temple built before Jesus returns? | John 2:19 | skccab | 191633
Hi Rabban, I have a question rather than a comment - If Ezekiel's temple is a heavenly temple, written about prior to Messiah, why is the Yom Kippur and Passover sacrifices omitted? If this is a picture of a physical future temple the exclusion of these sacrifices is easily explained. Cheri |

883 | third temple built before Jesus returns? | John 2:19 | skccab | 191638
Morning Rabban, It doesn't surprise me that sin offerings are mentioned - those were for the minor offenses (our 1Jn.1:9 as it were). I don't think we'll know all these things for sure till we get there. So when ever it happens - see you there!!! :-) Cheri |

885 | Living together | John 3:16 | skccab | 211501
Shalom Val, Perhaps a middle ground would be more effective - to not avoid nor to appear condoning- Invite them into your home (for a meal only...)? I can see both sides have creedence. Having other family members or friends inviting the couple into their homes takes the "living together" out of the equation, don't you think? Cheri |

886 | Living together | John 3:16 | skccab | 211506
Hey John, Your point is well taken. I may be mistaken here, but I think one of the concerns in the original post was being an example to a child. That is, would it appear as condoning living together to the child if we were visit this couple in their home? It was the eyes and mind of the child that was really the focus. That's why I suggested what I did. If I've remembered wrong, please forgive and ignore :o) Cheri |

888 | disciples only baptized not Jesus | John 3:26 | skccab | 193761
Doc, Were these disciples baptizing also in the name of the Holy Ghost (as He had not been given yet)? Or would you say that these baptisms were also just unto repentance, as John's? I hadn't thought about this before. Shalom Cheri |

889 | disciples only baptized not Jesus | John 3:26 | skccab | 193800
Morning Doc, Once again, I find myself in good company cos I've read and re-read the second, also...:-) Thank you for your input. I have had no problem with the mikvah that Yeshua partook, but when this thread started up it made me wonder about all the other baptisms at that time. I will now thank everyone who responded :-). Your thoughts and your work to answer is always much appreciated. Have a blessed day, everyone Cheri |

Hi MRoyal, Nice to hear from you, but I'm not the one who asked that question, I think I just piped in with an amen to Doc on one of his answers. I may have messed up the flow of the link, i do that sometimes. Still a newbie. love cheri |

894 | What changed? | John 7:8 | skccab | 202939
Shalom Thomas8 The "answer" is in your question. The others wanted Him to enter Jerusalem with a bang, with a "Hello, here I am!" vs.8 "...my time is not yer." vs10 "...but as it were in secret." No changes between verses. He went quietly to fulfill the command, as this was a "pilgrimage" feast, but it wasn't the season for Him to make a public entrance, so to speak. Cheri |

895 | What did Jesus write on the ground | John 8:6 | skccab | 206402
Shalom Gerald, I agree with you about letting scripture interpret scripture. Check out Num. 5:11-31, paying attention to verses 17 and 23 in particular. This may shed some light on Messiah and the dirt. Cheri |

896 | Unbelieve | John 8:47 | skccab | 191173
Hi Begbie, Doc, as usual, is absolutely right. Listen to him. But I think one reason (aside from his given) is that people think that it is a "religion" of have-to-do's and cannot-do's, a lot of legalism. They don't know the liberty that's found only in the Work of our Lord. And they don't know that Christianity is more a Relationship than a religion. If they could see that it is a very personal God that we worship, and a one on one relationship that we each have with Him as His children, they'd come running. Cheri |

897 | Unbelieve | John 8:47 | skccab | 191202
Amen! Brother, You say things so much better than I do. That's what I was trying to say. There is liberty in the Lord that only He can bring and what seems like do's and don't's to non-Christians are actually want to's and don't want to's by the work of the Holy Spirit. Like I said - you say it so much better :-). Nice to have you watching my back, brother. Cheri |

898 | Had Satan known.... | John 10:18 | skccab | 186109
Hi all, I was wondering if anyone knows where it states in NT something like this "if the devil had known, he would not have had crucified the Lord..." I can't find it, and I have a pretty large concordance. I've always thought there was such a verse, but now.....? Thanks for your help Blessings Cheri |

899 | Had Satan known.... | John 10:18 | skccab | 186112
Searcher, Thank you for responding so promptly. I guess it isn't there. A few months ago I finished off reading the whole Bible thru, but I wasn't really searching for any particular verses at the time, so it didn't occur to me then that it wasn't there. Cheri |
