2301 | divorce is not always a sin. | 1 Cor 7:15 | justme | 83115
hobbzilla: You have some very good points, and I find it refreshing the way you make your dialogue point by point, in logical sequence. I attempt to state things as they should be in a strick Biblical fundimentalistic mannor. However in the reality of the situation ethical mode we as Christians tend to react to most situations, I find that often fundimential Biblical truths are ignored. I noticed we both have used the example of the wife being unfaithful, which is far less often the case. Our Christian lifestyle in todays world is barely different from the world in general. The facts are today we have stepfathers sexually abusing their step daughters, and all kinds of males and females involved in other devient acts. On occasion we hear of those in ministry whose conduct is repugnant, a shame to the name of Christ and His Church. I will state my personal views, and say my understanding for Biblical divorce externds beyond sexual infidelity. Unfaithness encompasses far more than just a sexual act. In our world there grounds for divorce for addictions that are beyond listing, neglect, gambeling, non support, and again the list is too long. Perhaps what I am attempting to say is "hardness of heart" is wide in scope in todays world. Some as according to Romans 1. have taken the path that leads to distruction. The question is how does a husband or wife know when "God has handed them over..."? There are those who have choosen a path that has no turning around. I do believe faith that falters, had a flaw from the first. I do believe in eternal security, but sometimes the call is only known by Jesus Himself. I hope, I am not sounding wishy washy, but divorce, adultery, and all sins are forgiven exactly the same way, are they not? I do have deep compassion for sinners, whom I stand in line by my own conviction of the Holy Spirit. By the Grace of God I am a saved sinner. Blessings. justme |

answers: Kyle, perhaps you have become very sensitive to the sins of your past. You said that you both made Christ Lord, and got married. You have both clearl repented of the sinful lifestyles you were living. At the point where you confessed your sin and repented and recieved Christ as Lord, you are a new creature in the Lord. There is nothing more satan would like than for you and your wife to doubt that you are clean and a new person in Chirst Jesus. You have been washed in the Blood of the Lamb of God, Jesus Christ! If you want and feel this needs to be once and for all settled, get together alone and both of you pray about your feelings of guilt, and ask Jesus to heal your past completly. I can assur you both that this will settle this once and for all. I say this very tenderly, there will always be some person who will want to judge you and condem you, DO NOT LET ANY ONE TARE UP WHAT GOD HAS HEALED AND HAS MADE NEW IN CHRIST! Go now, in Jesus, with the newness of eternal life, and be loyal to the Lord and each other. I ask you now are you clean before the Lord? Yes! Now put this out of your ninds and become a helping healer for others who are what you once were. Today the world has millions of people who need to hear that Jesus died for their sins and was the final payment for their sins, they cab be born again in Christ. Did not Christ do for you what He had done for others? The wonderful Grace of Jesus reaches out to whom ever will come. Many are the hearts burdened down by sin. They need Jesus. I pray your wife and you will be blessed and grow in your faith in Jesus Christ. You have a wonderful testimony, continue on and bear much fruit. justme |

answers: Kyle, often you may find that there are wounded healers, that are able to reach out and lift us up. By wounded healers I mean those who were once wounded and shackled by the chains of sin, when Jesus broke the chains and set the wounder sinners free so they could be a representative healing to others, as Jesus Christs ambasadors. For those whom have been forgiven of much, often are more open to share and uplift those who are deep in sin and wounded, needing the Lords touch. If ther is anything that helps you, then it is the Lord alone who has reached out to you, not me. Never underestimate what the Holy Spirit can do for a receptive believer, I think you are such a believer. Because there are no Lone Ranger Christians, I can bet that someone somewhere has planted the seed of Jesus in you heart before. We may someday see how our sowing and reaping for the Master has turned out, but for now we trust that the lord uses us as we are able. To add one thing, never take a human beings word as tthe Word of the Lord, for only the Bible is the Word of God. If anyone says anything that does not take you to the Word of God ignor what they say. May I do just what I just said. Start with the Gospel of John and read it, try to pick out the gems that are there to speak to you. Study these verses, and read John again, pick out the gems once again. If you do this several times you will find new gems of the Word everytime! I am glad the Lord has set you and your wife free, now grow, go share with others you see in need of the healing touch of Jesus through you. Blessings, and always glad to respond to you Kyle. answers, Kyle: I am glad to hear that you and your wife are cell leaders. This is a good preperation as well you are getting first hand experience in taking The Word in written form to applied real life experiences. That is real ministry. I can sense you have the joy of your salvation in action and deed. I encourage to make preperation for what ever ministry God calls you to, by perhaps taking some classes at a Bible school near you. My wife and I went to Bible college and seminary together. We ministered to four churches together, she is and always has been the wind benieth my wings. You and your wife if at all possible should take as many courses together as possible. That is if you feel the Lords leading in that direction. If you and your wife ernestly pray for God to open doors if it's His will, I can assure that you will have no doubt that he is leading you. Actually we felt we were on the Lords roller coster. Time went by so fast, and before we knew it we were older, and retired with five grandchildren. We are blessed beyond what anyone should be. The Lord does make a way when we wait for directions, and then move with faith, "For without faith it is impossible to please God". What more can I say? Blessings. justme |

2306 | marriage, divorce, remarrage | 1 Cor 7:15 | justme | 91720
Radioman2:-) You make a wise statement. I wonder how many divorced Christians out there would like to be labled as "hard hearted". What grieves me is how many Christiand treat divorced Christians as if they were second class Christians. Yet we may not know of the imorality that is hidden behind the false front of a happy married Christian couple. We who consider our selves as such good Christians sure fall short on judging others sin, when we still have many planks in our oun eyes. Shame on those who make such harsh judgemment with out knowing all the facts. Thank your note, you seem kind and wanting to reach out to a world of hurting Christianns who have failed, and need to be pointed back to Jesus. Blessings. justme |

2307 | Scriptural grounds for divorce | 1 Cor 7:15 | justme | 208527
Tim 3:16: Matthew 5:27-32. Jesus said marital unfaithfulness. Looking at a woman with lust is adultery of the mind. Heart, mind, eyes and body all are involved in adultery. Every sin begins with our mind or heart. Hardness of heart is always at the core of every divorce. If we spend as much time and thought into how to resolve our marriages as some do in how to escape a marriage there might be fewer marriages. If pastors refused to remarry those divorced until they are totally convienced there is absolutely Biblical grounds this too would be of significant value in saving more marriages. I personally think no one should be remarried for at least a year. Today persons con be divorced and remarried in less than a week in some stated. A book I would suggest for couples considering marriage is LIVING TOGETHER, MYTHS, RISKS AND ANSWERS by Mike and Harriet McManus publisher by Howard Books 2008. In this book the evidence proves that 65 percent of Christians are living together before marraige. And that most marriages when the couple was sexually involved or living together has the odds against a marriage making it work. Today, many churches have divorce recovery groups. Very few churches have trained Christian counselors who work with marriages in trouble. I personally an very deeply concerned for marriages that are hanging by a thin thread. When a divorced person remarries without working on the problems they have and what helped the past marriage fail, they are going to carry the same problems into the new marraige. Some clergy persons do not even do any pre marraige counseling. Is it any wonder that so many Christians fail when Christians don't consider their marraige a Covenant they made with our Holy God. The Lord will hold us accountable for our Covenant braking. Divorce is a sin. Christ does forgive our sins, and there is consequences we reap for what we have sown. I hope this is more food for thought. justme |

2308 | Biblical reasons for divorce? | 1 Cor 7:15 | justme | 243423
Jesus said Divorce was allowed for sexual unfaithfulness, meaning adultery. Does anyone believe there are biblical reasons besides adultery, our church has two couples divorcing saying there are other biblical reasons, what could that be. scripture proof only please.

2310 | self control / spirit control | 1 Cor 9:25 | justme | 53341
Johnny: After reading several Q and A's I think you might well do yourself some good by learning your Jewish roots. Please remember Jesus was a Jew. Jesus did not do away with the Law. Jesus fullfiled the law. The law still exists today, and in reality Jesus maded it even more to awaken that we are sinners. When you more fully understand our Jewish background then you will under Christ much better. Think about it? agape, justme |

2311 | self control / spirit control | 1 Cor 9:25 | justme | 53419
Johnny: WHOA! I think you have a burr in your saddle, friend. Why are you coming across like your in a corner, and trying to fight your way out. Take a breath. Calm down and let the peace of Christ fill you. Let me assure you that I am not a follower of Mosess. My LORD is Jesus Christ. I do not agree with SINCHAT TORAH. I try to show kindness, and respect, by listening, and dialogue. That is my life style, rather than argue, and attack. We all have different ways of dealing with the beliefs that are beyond Christian Orthodoxy. Be wise Johnny and see there are a few new forum participants that seem to advocate a eclictic view of Christianity, and combining Jewish beliefs and traditions. This is an opportunity to to learn how to dialogue with these people who need the full understanding of Christ' completing the law, and His blood was the final sacrifice once and for all. Perhaps you missunderstood something I wrote. Basicly I was suggesting that the more you know anout cults the better equiped you are to dialogue with someone of that belief. With the srcipture as a two edged sord and the wisdom of knowing how their belief systen has specfic flaws we know of, we can be a more effective tool. In Romans 3:24 "and are justified freely by His grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus." Johnny there is no other way but salvation by Grace through Jesus! We are in total agreement. Let your love for others show so they can see Christ in you. Be at peace, we are Brothers in Christ. agape, justme |

2312 | Why not Brothers? | 1 Cor 11:3 | justme | 49810
Deut.29:29 is a wise verse. There are some things that our minds acn not understand. I believe in the trinity, but explaining it is not a simple 1.2.3. The real issue is what have you done with jesus Christ and how has His love changed your life? Choose to disagree but do not be disagreable. Lear to love and respect and then you are open for the Holy Spirit to let you teach others and learn. If you lived to be 1000 years old you would still have only scrathced the surface. So I say peace. agape, justme. |

2313 | searching for the truth | 1 Cor 11:3 | justme | 125292

2314 | searching for the truth | 1 Cor 11:3 | justme | 125458
J Crition: You are correct the word obey is not there. To be subject to means to set inorder. Obey is not even hinted to. In Bryan Chapell's book, EACH FOR THE OTHER, is a better more Scriptual based for the husband and wife, than what id often taught our young women and newly married. Thanks for the response. justme |

2315 | MUST WOMEN COVER THEIR HEAD | 1 Cor 11:5 | justme | 233148
All Muslim women cocer their heads. Catholic women have a small scarf on their head, or a hat. I think today Scripture leaces it up to the woman's choice, not a command. justme |

2316 | Men having long hair a disgrace? | 1 Cor 11:7 | justme | 208634
In Him Imm: The odd thing is we don't have any idea what Jesus really lookes like. We don't know if The hair of Jesus was like to pictures that have been painted of Jesus, as that is only that painter idea. Jesus well could have had shorter hair. Having been a carpenter in my younger years I can say long hair can get in the way real fast. I doubt we have a good idea what jesus looked like, He most likely had dark skin. brown eyes, and tough hands and was a man not a wimp as most pictures make Him look. justme |

0123: I am somewhat wondering why use new wineskins? How would using old wineskins over again be a problem? I dont think just plain grape juice would expand in the wine skins, would they? Is this passage that some say it's ok to drink wine? Would just grape juice stored in wineskins ferment? Blessings. justme |
