AMPLIFIED 2015 | 1 Corinthians 11:25 In the same way, after supper He took the cup, saying, "This cup is the new covenant [ratified and established] in My blood; do this, as often as you drink it, in [affectionate] remembrance of Me." |
Bible Question: That's quite interesting: wine in "new wine" actually refers to grape juice. Is that because Israelites of Jesus time didn't have the word juice? Did they call everything made of grapes (fermented or not) wine? If so, wine was either alcohol or juice, right? |
Bible Answer: 0123: I am somewhat wondering why use new wineskins? How would using old wineskins over again be a problem? I dont think just plain grape juice would expand in the wine skins, would they? Is this passage that some say it's ok to drink wine? Would just grape juice stored in wineskins ferment?
