Frank" Welcome to the Study Bible Forum: My heath is quite poor. I have cancer, I have had blood clo5ts in my lungs where they said I was certain to die. I had a fungus in my lungs and body while in the Navy. I was in a naval Hospital for 9 months. I was told I would not live beyond 35, and could have no children. The drug I was given destroys the kidneys liver, heart and really messes with the veins. I had many spinal taps, and I have spine injurys, and I have to take medicine for thinning my blood. I have had numerous clots in both legs. My lungs are really poor, I have COPD. I am in pain much or the time. I pray to be in the center of the will of God. Nothing more nothing less. I will be 69 on June 29th, My wife and I will be married 45 years Sept. 5. And we have 4 adult children and 10 grandchildren. So dear Frank, God is in control. Pray for others, but keep yourself in the center of Gods will for you. Blessings Frank justme |

EdB: Eph 3:18-21 was the scripture for today in The Daily Bread. I have used the Daily Bread from it's first issue in 1954 (I think). I have some real difficult health issues going on and in the last week and a half I had one ambulance trip to the Er and two more trips to the ER and today makes three. I have some pain issues that they can't seem to find a solution for. I was rather depressed and I went a bit over board this AM. Sorry if I can across to strong. However I feel so concerned about the things you also responded to. Thanks for your response, and bless you brother. justme |

EdB: Regarding why Christians don't know what it took for mainly protestants to get a protestant Bible, I an completely overwhelmed and truly saddened to the very depth of my soul, how little people know what it took to get our present day Bible (I know a real run-on sentence). My deep conviction is we as a once Christian nation, has no become a nation of heathens. Our culture is anti Christ, anti God. When we see the Muslim converting middle class America into their satanic cult, we as Followers of Jesus Christ are under persecution, and in serious trouble. In my lifetime I can honestly say our world has changed beyond any hope of turning back. I expect that only small groups of conversions of genuine believers are being genuinely Christians. The Word of Faith movement has Satan's blessing, and is growing at very fast numbers is Africa. If ever we as Christians need to be encouraging to one another it is now. I have seen first hand preachers at Resurrection Sunday sermon, get so concerned about the "easter basket handout" they missed telling of the Resurrection of Jesus Christ. I have seen one church that never calles on people to see why they have missed 4 months of Sundays. I think the Lord Jesus must be in deep sadness for His Bride. I know I am. Thank you for letting me cry openly in our forum for the deep concern I feel, and hurt for. justme |

Why would a conservative, Bible believing, Born again Christian leader want to met with the Roman Catholic Pope? I recently watch a history of the Bible under Mid Evil times. Over and over the Pope and the Catholic leaders persecuted anyone involved in any attempt the have the people get a Bible to understand Gods Word. As The movie said the went on with extreme punishment to anyone involved with getting a Bible, except Roman Catholic church leaders. This continued into the seventeenth century. Most all of the widely known Bible translators were put to death in the most barbaric painful ways, in such a way everyone could witness their death. Yet today the Roman Catholic church still practices nearly all the same unbiblical things that the early Christians like Martin Luther stood against. Have Protestants just let the issues the early Church Bible translators died for just drop away? After seeing this movie I thought most of us have at least one Bible and perhaps more Bibles at our use. When so many died so I could have a Bible that was not made under the Roman Catholic supervision, I felt ashamed. I have more than 14 Bibles and I really do not appreciate it, especially considering the blood shed it took to get the Bibles we take for granted. Why are not more Pastors telling this history so we can better love the Word of God we have and most people don't even read it? |

Doc: The father of the boy that this happened to was a pastor at the time, of some sort. I think this too speaks a lot about the fathers lack of belief and trust in the Bible. Thanks yor your reply. justme |

Doc: Do you know when or how it started calling Resurrection Sunday easter? Also we are exactally on the same page, it really hurts me, so how much more is the heart of the Holy father who sent His Son to carry my sins to the cross. Oh my what love I shall never understand how an unworthy person like me should be so loved. justme |

199 | Resurrection or Easter sunday? | Not Specified | justme | 240207 | ||
Why do we say Easter, rather than Resurrection Sunday or someting like this? I am concerned that easter is so connected with candy and colored eggs, and baskets with goodies that the real meaning is all but lost in the world outside the church. I believe in our culture today most people have disconnected themselves from the Holy Day of Jesus Christ being alive as proof of His divinity. Anyone else finding this hard to deal with in the church they serve. I find this can be a real issue to not hand out "easter baskets either durring the service or afterwards. I am not a pastor, but in the church we were going to the pastor made a big issue of handing out baskets durring the serivce. Justme |
