464 | will i know loved ones in heaven??? | 2 Samuel | jlpangilinan | 75100
Christ said in this verse that He is going to drink a new wine them in His Fathers house, I am sure when that time come, each apostle will recognized thier fellow apostle and they will remember that statement of Christ. So if the apostle can recognize each of them I am sure we will recognize our love ones. Mt 26:29 But I say unto you, I will not drink henceforth of this fruit of the vine, until that day when I drink it new with you in my Father's kingdom. But the very clear statement of Christ is that we are as angels: Mt 22:30 For in the resurrection they neither marry, nor are given in marriage, but are as the angels of God in heaven. God bless, |

465 | Measured them with a line? | 2 Sam 8:2 | jlpangilinan | 27493
Easton Bible Dictionary Entry on "LINE" or "Cord" Cord frequently used in its proper sense, for fastening a tent (Ex 35:18; 39:40), yoking animals to a cart (Isa 5:18), binding prisoners (Jg 15:13; Ps 2:3; 129:4), and measuring ground (2Sa 8:2; Ps 78:55). Figuratively, death is spoken of as the giving way of the tent-cord (Job 4:21. "Is not their tent-cord plucked up?" R.V.). To gird one's self with a cord was a token of sorrow and humiliation. To stretch a line over a city meant to level it with the ground (La 2:8). The "cords of sin" are the consequences or fruits of sin (Pr 5:22). A "threefold cord" is a symbol of union (Ec 4:12). The "cords of a man" (Ho 11:4) means that men employ, in inducing each other, methods such as are suitable to men, and not "cords" such as oxen are led by. Isaiah (Isa 5:18) says, "Woe unto them that draw iniquity with cords of vanity, and sin as it were with a cart rope." This verse is thus given in the Chaldee paraphrase: "Woe to those who begin to sin by little and little, drawing sin by cords of vanity: these sins grow and increase till they are strong and are like a cart rope." This may be the true meaning. The wicked at first draw sin with a slender cord; but by-and-by their sins increase, and they are drawn after them by a cart rope. Henderson in his commentary says: "The meaning is that the persons described were not satisfied with ordinary modes of provoking the Deity, and the consequent ordinary approach of his vengeance, but, as it were, yoked themselves in the harness of iniquity, and, putting forth all their strength, drew down upon themselves, with accelerated speed, the load of punishment which their sins deserved." |

The name of david's mother was not recorded David beloved, the eighth and youngest son of Jesse, a citizen of Bethlehem. His father seems to have been a man in humble life. 468 | My question is did Solomon die in or out | 1 Kings | jlpangilinan | 33427
2blessed, Let me give the scriptures that will stated about what happened to the relationship of solomon to God. 1Ki 11:4 For it came to pass, when Solomon was old, that his wives turned away his heart after other gods: and his heart was not perfect with the LORD his God, as was the heart of David his father. 1Ki 11:5 For Solomon went after Ashtoreth the goddess of the Zidonians, and after Milcom the abomination of the Ammonites. It was mentioned that solomon did evil in the sight of the Lord: 1Ki 11:6 And Solomon did evil in the sight of the LORD, and went not fully after the LORD, as did David his father. 1Ki 11:2 Of the nations concerning which the LORD said unto the children of Israel, Ye shall not go in to them, neither shall they come in unto you: for surely they will turn away your heart after their gods: Solomon clave unto these in love. 1Ki 11:3 And he had seven hundred wives, princesses, and three hundred concubines: and his wives turned away his heart. God warn israel not to have covenant with the other nations at the time but solomon did as a matter of fact he had 700 hundred wives and 300 concuvines from different nations. Ex 23:32 Thou shalt make no covenant with them, nor with their gods. But to answer you question if Solomon died in or out relationship with God? I cannot answer that in my own definition, it is God can justify anyone of us. Only God can say if solomon completely in or out his relationship with Him. God bless, Johnny |

469 | Who killed Adonijoh and why | 1 Kin 2:13 | jlpangilinan | 80828
Adonijah my Lord is Jehovah. (1.) The fourth son of David (2Sa 3:4). After the death of his elder brothers, Amnon and Absalom, he became heir-apparent to the throne. But Solomon, a younger brother, was preferred to him. Adonijah, however, when his father was dying, caused himself to be proclaimed king. But Nathan and Bathsheba induced David to give orders that Solomon should at once be proclaimed and admitted to the throne. Adonijah fled and took refuge at the altar, and received pardon for his conduct from Solomon on the condition that he showed himself "a worthy man" (1Ki 1:5-53). He afterwards made a second attempt to gain the throne, but was seized and put to death (1Ki 2:13-25). Easton Bible Dictionary God bless, |

470 | can you help me defind Zion | 1 Kin 8:1 | jlpangilinan | 23458
Zion sunny; height, one of the eminences on which Jerusalem was built. It was surrounded on all sides, except the north, by deep valleys, that of the Tyropoeon (q.v.) separating it from Moriah (q.v.), which it surpasses in height by 105 feet. It was the south-eastern hill of Jerusalem. When David took it from the Jebusites (Jos 15:63; 2Sa 5:7) he built on it a citadel and a palace, and it became "the city of David" (1Ki 8:1; 2Ki 19:21,31; 1Ch 11:5). In the later books of the Old Testament this name was sometimes used (Ps 87:2; 149:2; Isa 33:14; Joe 2:1) to denote Jerusalem in general, and sometimes God's chosen Israel (Ps 51:18; 87:5). In the New Testament it is used sometimes to denote the Church of God (Heb 12:22), and sometimes the heavenly city (Re 14:1). |

472 | Why Solomon leaving God | 1 Kin 11:1 | jlpangilinan | 15729
First of all of course He is a normal man that can commit sin. If remember david committed sin also but he repented and accepted his mistake. Im sure Solomon as close to God he knows the laws of God even from the day of Moses. God reminded them not to have children from the nation sorrounded them to be thier wives because it turn them heart away from God. But Solomon ignore it by having 700 wives and 300 concuvines from different nations. 1 Kings 11:1-4 But king Solomon loved many strange women, together with the daughter of Pharaoh, women of the Moabites, Ammonites, Edomites, Zidonians, and Hittites; Of the nations concerning which the LORD said unto the children of Israel, Ye shall not go in to them, neither shall they come in unto you: for surely they will turn away your heart after their gods: Solomon clave unto these in love. And he had seven hundred wives, princesses, and three hundred concubines: and his wives turned away his heart. For it came to pass, when Solomon was old, that his wives turned away his heart after other gods: and his heart was not perfect with the LORD his God, as was the heart of David his father. From those verses that I quoted stated that "His heart heart was not perfect with the Lord his God, as was the heart of David his father." Maybe Solomon loved his wives more than God. Johnny |

476 | Elijah went to heaven alive | 2 Kin 2:11 | jlpangilinan | 36563
Please read this carefully: 1Co 15:53 For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality. Enable us to enter the kingdom of heaven we have to change from mortal to immortality. That is why I am asking how could elijah went in heaven with his old body? Changing from mortal to immortality happened during the rapture, so 2 Kings 2:11 contradict the assessment of Paul in 1 cor. God bless, Johnny |

477 | Why did the walls of Jericho fall? | 2 Kin 2:19 | jlpangilinan | 81821
It falls because of the power of God. I put here an entry in EASTON BIBLE DICTIONARY about jericho I hope it would helps Jericho place of fragrance, a fenced city in the midst of a vast grove of palm trees, in the plain of Jordan, over against the place where that river was crossed by the Israelites (Jos 3:16). Its site was near the 'Ain es-Sultan, Elisha's Fountain (2Ki 2:19-22), about 5 miles west of Jordan. It was the most important city in the Jordan valley (Nu 22:1; 34:15), and the strongest fortress in all the land of Canaan. It was the key to Western Palestine. This city was taken in a very remarkable manner by the Israelites (Jos 6:1-27). God gave it into their hands. The city was "accursed" (Heb herem, "devoted" to Jehovah), and accordingly (Jos 6:17; comp. Le 27:28-29; De 13:16) all the inhabitants and all the spoil of the city were to be destroyed, "only the silver, and the gold, and the vessels of brass and of iron" were reserved and "put into the treasury of the house of Jehovah" (Jos 6:24; comp. Nu 31:22-23,50-54). Only Rahab "and her father's household, and all that she had," were preserved from destruction, according to the promise of the spies (Jos 2:14). In one of the Amarna tablets Adoni-zedec (q.v.) writes to the king of Egypt informing him that the 'Abiri (Hebrews) had prevailed, and had taken the fortress of Jericho, and were plundering "all the king's lands." It would seem that the Egyptian troops had before this been withdrawn from Palestine. This city was given to the tribe of Benjamin (Jos 18:21), and it was inhabited in the time of the Judges (Jg 3:13; 2Sa 10:5). It is not again mentioned till the time of David (2Sa 10:5). "Children of Jericho" were among the captives who returned under Zerubbabel Ezr 2:34; Ne 7:36). Hiel (q.v.) the Bethelite attempted to make it once more a fortified city (1Ki 16:34). Between the beginning and the end of his undertaking all his children were cut off. In New Testament times Jericho stood some distance to the south-east of the ancient one, and near the opening of the valley of Achor. It was a rich and flourishing town, having a considerable trade, and celebrated for the palm trees which adorned the plain around. It was visited by our Lord on his last journey to Jerusalem. Here he gave sight to two blind men (Mt 20:29-34; Mr 10:46-52), and brought salvation to the house of Zacchaeus the publican (Lu 19:2-10). The poor hamlet of er-Riha, the representative of modern Jericho, is situated some two miles farther to the east. It is in a ruinous condition, having been destroyed by the Turks in 1840. "The soil of the plain," about the middle of which the ancient city stood, "is unsurpassed in fertility; there is abundance of water for irrigation, and many of the old aqueducts are almost perfect; yet nearly the whole plain is waste and desolate...The climate of Jericho is exceedingly hot and unhealthy. This is accounted for by the depression of the plain, which is about 1,200 feet below the level of the sea." There were three different Jerichos, on three different sites, the Jericho of Joshua, the Jericho of Herod, and the Jericho of the Crusades. Er-Riha, the modern Jericho, dates from the time of the Crusades. Dr. Bliss has found in a hollow scooped out for some purpose or other near the foot of the biggest mound above the Sultan's Spring specimens of Amorite or pre-Israelitish pottery precisely identical with what he had discovered on the site of ancient Lachish. He also traced in this place for a short distance a mud brick wall in situ, which he supposes to be the very wall that fell before the trumpets of Joshua. The wall is not far from the foot of the great precipice of Quarantania and its numerous caverns, and the spies of Joshua could easily have fled from the city and been speedily hidden in these fastnesses. 478 | In which year did the prophet Samuel die | 2 Kin 21:18 | jlpangilinan | 103315
"little is known of him till the time of his death, " The remainder of his life he spent in retirement at Ramah, only occasionally and in special circumstances appearing again in public (1Sa 13:1-23,15) with communications from God to king Saul. While mourning over the many evils which now fell upon the nation, he is suddenly summoned (ch.16) to go to Bethlehem and anoint David, the son of Jesse, as king over Israel instead of Saul. After this little is known of him till the time of his death, which took place at Ramah when he was probably about eighty years of age. "And all Israel gathered themselves together, and lamented him, and buried him in his house at Ramah" (1Sa 25:1), not in the house itself, but in the court or garden of his house. 480 | Contradictions | 2 Chr 29:6 | jlpangilinan | 75841
I am not quoting that to attack the bible but instead to find explaination why that verse seems has contradictions. We know that Bible is a reliable soource, and we believed that Bible has no contradictions. So if aome one can explain why it was written differently it is ok. 2Ch 36:9 said that he is eight years old. in Ki 24:8 it was stated that he was eighteen years old, so if the Bible really has no contradictions why its stated like that 8 to 18 is a big gap. Finding fault is ok as Jesus say we have search for the truth, if we can find explainations for that it is ok so if someone challenge us to explain that we can depend the Bible more accurately. God bless, |
