Bible Answer: The name of david's mother was not recorded David beloved, the eighth and youngest son of Jesse, a citizen of Bethlehem. His father seems to have been a man in humble life. His mother's name is not recorded. Some think she was the Nahash of 2Sa 17:25. As to his personal appearance, we only know that he was red haired, with beautiful eyes and a fair face 1Sa 16:12; 17:42. Abigail is a sister of david: Abigail father i.e., "leader"of the dance, or "of joy." 1. The sister of David, and wife of Jether an Ishmaelite 1Ch 2:16-17. She was the mother of Amasa 2Sa 17:25. in the other abigail recorder are: 2. The wife of the churlish Nabal, who dwelt in the district of Carmel 1Sa 25:3.
