361 | Why doesn’t God just show himself to tho | Mark 11:22 | inmyheart | 66265
God has shown Himself to the world through His Son Jesus! These are a couple of verses that Christians know that are right. 2Timothy2:15, Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a workman who does not need to be ashamed and who "correctly" handles the word of truth. Romans 12:2, Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then "YOU" will be able to test and approve what God's will is--his good, pleasing and perfect will. jmartin, 1 Corinthians 1:18 says, and I'm paraphrasing, that if your not saved, then the Word of God is nonsense, but if your are saved it's powerful. You are not here by accident, and you are not a mistake, God has a purpose for your life. You were created for God's pleasure, for God's family, to become like Christ, to serve God and made for a mission. John 3:16 and Roman 10:9-10, will lead you God. Why not do it now. God bless |

362 | What does it mean to "love" God? | Mark 12:28 | inmyheart | 70761
Greetings, God tells us in the First Commandment we are to "...love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind." ( Matthew 22:37) What specifically does this mean? I believe loving God (agapao) includes three specific things: 1) To choose continually to obey God's Word (His Will) and not our own thoughts and emotions that are usually prompting us to go the opposite direction. 2) To choose continually to trust God's Power (His Ability) to perform His Will in our lives and not our own natural ability. 3) And lastly, to love God means to choose continually to worship and serve Him only, by following, cleaving and so binding ourselves with Him that we become one. (We "exchange lives" with Him. We give Him ours; He, then, gives us His.) God bless |

363 | Can a person push God too far?? | Luke | inmyheart | 54940
justmeagain, My friend you have a purpose in your life, you are not here by accident. You have a destiny, and God wants to take you there. The things we struggle with is needless, there is absolutely no benefit for yourself living outside the will of God. The word in Proverbs 24:16 says that a just man falls seven times, and rises up again. He is falling "towards", not falling "back". Luke 22:31-32, "Simon, Simon, Satan has asked to sift you as wheat. But I have prayed for you, Simon, that your faith may not fail. And when you have turned(KJV says converted) back, strengthen your brothers." We know Peter goes on to cut the soldiers ear off and denies the Lord three times (he fell). In Acts 2:41, we see Peter standing strong, leading about three thousand to the Lord. My friend, it's not about how far we can push God, it's about how close we can be with Him. It's about a total committment, all of your life. Apart from Him you can do nothing. Romans 12: 1-2, read it, pray over it. Remember, you are the extension of His Love. God bless, God really does love you! |

368 | Is it so hard to believe Jesus | Luke 6:46 | inmyheart | 81350
Is it so hard to believe Jesus? Let's see what the word of God says; "For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness; but unto us which are saved it is the power of God." 1 Cor. 1:18. Also: Mat 11:28 Come unto me, all [ye] that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Mat 11:29 Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. Mat 11:30 For my yoke [is] easy, and my burden is light. God bless |

369 | did Jesus have time to do what he wanted | Luke 9:11 | inmyheart | 163417
Jesus only did what His Father sent Him to do! Jhn 5:30 I can of mine own self do nothing: as I hear, I judge: and my judgment is just; because I seek not mine own will, but the will of the Father which hath sent me. Jhn 8:28 Then said Jesus unto them, When ye have lifted up the Son of man, then shall ye know that I am [he], and [that] I do nothing of myself; but as my Father hath taught me, I speak these things. Praise God, we all should be about our Father's business, giving Him the Honor. God Blessings to you! inmyheart |

372 | Can I come home again, or apostate? | Luke 15:24 | inmyheart | 60934
God's love, purpose and His destination for you will never change. The Word says let every man be a liar, but let God be true. The devil will put doubt in your mind, and if he can convince you that there is no way back to God, well, he's done his job, BUT DON'T BELIEVE IT! Jesus is the author and finisher of your faith, and my friend, He's not finish with you. WELCOME HOME, enter into His rest. Come in agreement with His will for you, and partake of the plan He has prepared for you. There is no condemnation to those who are "IN" Christ Jesus, so don't beat yourself up, God Loves You! Jhn 10:27 "My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me; Jhn 10:28 and I give eternal life to them, and they will never perish; and no one will snatch them out of My hand. Jhn 10:29 "My Father, who has given them to Me, is greater than all; and no one is able to snatch them out of the Father's hand.(NASB) |

373 | Can I come home again, or apostate? | Luke 15:24 | inmyheart | 61007
GJH, Thank you my friend for the blessing! Be passionate about our Father; Luk 11:9 And I say unto you, Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you. Yes, it's great not to be afraid; 2Ti 1:7 For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind. Praise Jesus for His Mercy and Grace, God will use your testimony. God bless you abundantly!!! |

1Cr 15:55 O death, where [is] thy sting? O grave, where [is] thy victory? 1Cr 15:56 The sting of death [is] sin; and the strength of sin [is] the law. 1Cr 15:57 But thanks [be] to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. 1Cr 15:58 Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord. (KJV) Looking forward to hearing from you soon, my brother, continue to be a blessing! Peace P.S. 375 | Did Jesus suffer in hell when he died? | Luke 23:46 | inmyheart | 48117
The Berean, reading your post you state, "So Christ went immediatelty to be with the Father, etc..." Reading John 20:17, "Jesus saith unto her, "Touch me not: for I am not yet ascended to my Father: but go to my brethren, and say unto them, I ascend unto my Father, and your Father, and to my God, and your God." So help me here and give some understanding, also, lets say that Jesus may have descended to hell, how would He have been disobedient? Thank you for taking the time to respond. |
