362 | Do evil spirits posses people today? | Acts 19:15 | ebrain | 164625
Yes they do, but why are you asking this question? The Word of God forbids anyone from dealing with evil spirits, and it would not do this, if it were not possible for people to contact them. |

364 | Can a murderer go to heaven? | Rom 3:23 | ebrain | 188546
In addition to the excellent answer given by BradK, here are some further thoughts. Entry into heaven is dependant on sins being forgiven, and all sins (including murder) can be forgiven, because there is only one sin that will not be forgiven, see below. Matt 12:31 "Therefore I say to you, any sin and blasphemy shall be forgiven people, but blasphemy against the Spirit shall not be forgiven. Matt 12:32 "Whoever speaks a word against the Son of Man, it shall be forgiven him; but whoever speaks against the Holy Spirit, it shall not be forgiven him, either in this age or in the age to come. ebrain. |

367 | Does Sin mean the same in Old and New | Rom 5:14 | ebrain | 163493
Sin no matter how it is described, is against God, and that is all that matters. Salvation from sin no matter how it is described, is allways by the same method. |

368 | How is Adam's sin different? | Rom 5:14 | ebrain | 174067
What follows is speculation, but it might be of some help. We are told at 1st Tim 2:13-15, that it was only the woman who was deceived, and that Adam knew full well just what he was intending to do. Jesus we are told, knew no sin, but allowed himself to be made sin in order to save His bride, that is you and I. It is not, in my considered opinion impossible that Adam might just have done the same to save his wife Eve. Note he did not go to the tree as Eve did, but took the fruit from her, i.e. he in type took her sin on himself This is what I think Paul had in mind at Romans 5:14. If you would like to have a fuller, and more detailed explanation, then let me have your e-mail address, mine is pabrain@indent.co.uk |

370 | What does 'Once for all' mean? | Rom 6:10 | ebrain | 160268
The death of the infinate, has more power than the sins of the finite. This death therefore does not need to be repeated, once is enough.
371 | what is the wages of sin? | Rom 6:23 | ebrain | 180226

373 | DID JESUS EVER DIE? HE WAS GOD | Rom 8:11 | ebrain | 183456
Jhn 4:24 "God is Spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth." Hbr 10:5 Therefore, when He came into the world, He said: "Sacrifice and offering You did not desire, But a body You have prepared for Me. Hbr 10:6 In burnt offerings and sacrifices for sin You had no pleasure. Hbr 10:7 Then I said, 'Behold, I have come--In the volume of the book it is written of Me--To do Your will, O God.'"* In order for God who is spirit, to be able to offer Himself as an acceptable sacrifice, He had to make for Himself a body in which to dwell, so that He could experience for all of us who are saved, the indescribable agony of death by crucifixion. See Psalm 22:1-18, and Isaiah 52:13 to 53:12. |

374 | DID JESUS EVER DIE? HE WAS GOD | Rom 8:11 | ebrain | 183457
Jhn 10:17 "Therefore My Father loves Me, because I lay down My life that I may take it again. Jhn 10:18 "No one takes it from Me, but I lay it down of Myself. I have power to lay it down, and I have power to take it again. This command I have received from My Father." Yes Jesus did die, He says so in the verses above, don't try to understand how, just believe Him, take Him at His word, exercise the faith that God has given you, see Hbr 11:6 But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him. |

378 | Questions friend has asked | Rom 8:29 | ebrain | 162101
Conversion to accepting God at His word is due entirely to direct Divine intervention into the life of the person concerened, and has nothing whatsoever to do with human debate using logic, and reason. See also Mat 16:17, "flesh and blood has not revealed it to you,but my Father who is in heaven", and 1st Cor 2:14, "The natural person does not accept the things of the Spirit of God, for they are folly to him, and he is not able to understand them because they are spiritually discerned". |

379 | Free will and predestination co-exist? | Rom 8:29 | ebrain | 178250
The passage of Scripture you refer to indicates that it is by His "foreknowledge", that He predestined us to be saved. What we are not told is the exact nature of His foreknowledge, Could it be I wonder that He knows in advance just how each individual will respond, when exposed to the Gospel? , and therefore only those who He knows will respond positivelyare predestined to be saved?. I have more to say on this, but would like to see what others think first. ebrain |

380 | Free will and predestination co-exist? | Rom 8:29 | ebrain | 178469
You say that we do not have free will, yet at Gen 5:24, we are told that "Enoch walked with God; and he was not for God took him". Please tell me, do you think that Enoch walked with God of his own free will, on not?. If he did not have a free will as you maintain, then this verse of Scripture is pointless. At Job 1:8, the LORD said that Job was "a blameless and upright man, one who fears God and shuns evil". What is the point of the LORD saying this if Job did not have a free will ?. ebrain. |
